6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your treadmill.

6.1 Lubrication

The running belt requires periodic lubrication to reduce friction and wear. It is recommended to lubricate the belt every 3-6 months, or after approximately 50 hours of use, depending on usage frequency. Use only silicone-based treadmill lubricant.

  1. Turn off and unplug the treadmill.
  2. Loosen the rear roller bolts slightly to lift the belt.
  3. Apply a thin line of lubricant evenly under the center of the running belt.
  4. Tighten the rear roller bolts.
  5. Plug in the treadmill and run it at a low speed (e.g., 1 MPH) for 5 minutes to distribute the lubricant.

6.2 Cleaning

Regularly clean your treadmill to prevent dust and debris buildup.

  • Wipe down the console and exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Vacuum under the treadmill periodically to remove dust and lint that can accumulate.

6.3 Belt Adjustment

If the running belt starts to slip or drift to one side, it may need adjustment.

  • Centering the Belt: If the belt drifts to the left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise in small increments (e.g., 1/4 turn). If it drifts to the right, turn the right rear roller bolt clockwise. Run the treadmill at a low speed and observe the belt's movement. Adjust until the belt is centered.
  • Tightening the Belt: If the belt slips during use, it may be too loose. Turn both rear roller bolts clockwise in small, equal increments until the slipping stops. Do not overtighten.
