3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Device

1. Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the NetumScan DJ-180C.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The device's OLED display will indicate the charging status. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use.

3.2. Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press the blue button located on the front of the device. The OLED display will illuminate.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the blue button for approximately 3 seconds until the display turns off. The device will also automatically power off after 180 seconds of inactivity (no tag scanned) to conserve battery.

3. Press the blue button once to initiate a scan. The device will emit a signal to detect the microchip.
4. Upon successful detection, the microchip's identification number will be displayed on the OLED screen. The response time is typically less than 100ms.
