Correct cuff placement is crucial for accurate readings.
- Ensure the cuff is suitable for your arm circumference (8.7" - 16.5" / 22-42 cm).
- Sit in a comfortable position with your feet flat on the floor and your arm resting on a table.
- Slide your arm through the cuff loop. The air tube should run down the inside of your arm.
- Position the cuff so the bottom edge is approximately 1-2 cm (0.5-1 inch) above your elbow joint.
- Wrap the cuff snugly around your upper arm, ensuring it is not too tight or too loose. The indicator arrow on the cuff should align with your brachial artery (inner elbow).
- Secure the cuff with the Velcro fastener.
