1. Product Overview

The AULA S99 is a versatile 99-key gaming keyboard designed for seamless connectivity across multiple devices and operating systems. It features advanced tri-mode connectivity, vibrant RGB backlighting, and fully programmable keys to enhance your gaming and productivity experience.

2. Setup Guide

Initial Connection

Before first use, ensure the keyboard is fully charged using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and a power source (e.g., computer USB port or wall adapter).

Tri-Mode Connectivity

The AULA S99 supports three connection modes:

1. USB Wired Mode: Connect the USB-C cable directly to your computer. The keyboard will automatically be recognized.
2. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode:
   • Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver stored in the keyboard's underside compartment.
   • Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your device.
   • Switch the keyboard to 2.4GHz mode using the switch on the keyboard (refer to keyboard layout for exact switch location).
   • The keyboard should connect automatically.
3. Bluetooth 5.0 Mode:
   • Switch the keyboard to Bluetooth mode.
   • On your device (PC, Mac, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
   • Select "AULA S99" from the list of available devices to pair.
   • The keyboard can store up to 3 Bluetooth connections (BT1, BT2, BT3) and can be switched using FN + 1/2/3.

3. Operating Instructions

RGB Backlighting Control

The AULA S99 features extensive RGB backlighting with multiple effects:

• Change Lighting Effects: Press FN + PgUp / PgDn to cycle through 16 preset lighting modes.
• Adjust Brightness: Rotate the multi-function knob (clockwise for brighter, counter-clockwise for dimmer).
• Adjust Speed: Use FN + Left Arrow / Right Arrow to change the speed of dynamic lighting effects.
• Change Lighting Color: Press FN + End to switch between different colors for static lighting modes.

Programmable Keys & Macros

The keyboard's M1, M2, and M3 buttons are fully programmable for macro customization:

1. Recording a Macro:
   • Long press FN + INS to enter macro recording mode.
   • Press the desired M1, M2, or M3 button to assign the macro.
   • Type the sequence of keys you wish to record.
   • Long press FN + INS again to save the macro.
2. Using Macros: Simply press the assigned M1, M2, or M3 button to execute the recorded sequence.

Media & Volume Control

The multi-function rotary knob provides convenient control over media and volume:

• Adjust Volume: Rotate the knob (clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease).
• Mute/Unmute: Press the knob to mute or unmute audio.
• Switch Game/Office Mode: Long press the knob to toggle between game and office modes, which may affect macro behavior.

Device Switching

To switch between connected devices:

• For Bluetooth devices, press FN + 1 / 2 / 3 to switch between paired Bluetooth devices.
• For 2.4GHz wireless, ensure the keyboard is in 2.4GHz mode.
• For wired connection, simply plug in the USB-C cable.

Power Saving Features

• Backlight Off: The backlight will turn off after 2 minutes of inactivity to conserve power.
• Deep Sleep Mode: The keyboard enters deep sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity.
• Wake Up: Press any key to wake up the device from sleep mode.

4. Maintenance

Cleaning Your Keyboard

To ensure longevity and optimal performance, regular cleaning is recommended:

• Disconnect the keyboard from all devices before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and surface.
• Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard.
• Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keys.

Battery Information

The keyboard is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. For best battery life:

• Charge the keyboard fully before first use.

Common Issues & Solutions

• Keyboard not connecting via wired mode (Windows PC): If the wired connection is not working, press and hold FN + 4 simultaneously for a moment to re-sync the connection.
• Bluetooth pairing issues: Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable. Try forgetting the device on your computer and re-pairing.
• 2.4GHz connection issues: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged in and the keyboard is switched to 2.4GHz mode. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port.
• Backlight not working: Check if the backlight is turned off or set to minimum brightness. Adjust using the knob or FN key combinations. Ensure the keyboard has sufficient battery charge.
• Keys not responding: Ensure the keyboard is properly connected in your chosen mode. Try restarting the keyboard and the connected device.
