Setup

1. Initial Activation

Upon receiving your watch, check for a small plastic tab protruding from the side of the watch case, near the button. If present, gently pull and remove this tab. This tab prevents battery drain during storage and shipping.

2. Setting the Time

The Accutime Transformers TFC4101 watch typically features one or two buttons on the side of the case for setting the time.

  • Identify Buttons: Locate the button(s) on the right side of the watch case. For watches with a single button, it usually cycles through modes and adjusts values. For watches with two buttons, one is typically for "Mode" or "Set" and the other for "Adjust" or "Light".
  • Enter Setting Mode: Press the "Mode" or "Set" button (or the single button) repeatedly until the hour digits begin to flash.
  • Adjust Hours: While the hour digits are flashing, press the "Adjust" button (or the single button) to advance the hour. Cycle through until the correct hour is displayed. Pay attention to AM/PM if your watch uses a 12-hour format.
  • Adjust Minutes: Press the "Mode" or "Set" button again to move to the minute digits. The minute digits should now flash. Press the "Adjust" button (or the single button) to set the correct minutes.
  • Confirm Settings: Once the minutes are set, press the "Mode" or "Set" button one last time to exit the setting mode. The time should now be set and the digits will stop flashing.

If your watch has additional settings like date or year, repeat the "Enter Setting Mode" and "Adjust" steps as needed, following the sequence presented by the "Mode" button.

Operating the Watch

Viewing the Time

The watch display is typically off to conserve battery. To view the time, simply press the main button (often the "Mode" or "Set" button). The digital time will illuminate for a few seconds before turning off automatically.

Cycling Through Display Modes (if applicable)

Some digital watches allow you to cycle through different display modes such as date, seconds, or other functions. Press the "Mode" button briefly to switch between these displays.

Maintenance

Cleaning Your Watch

  • Case and Display: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the plastic case and display. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water and wipe gently, then dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Silicone Strap: The silicone strap can be cleaned with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before wearing. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, which can degrade the silicone.

Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or stops working, the battery may need replacement. This watch uses a standard watch battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and function. Attempting to replace the battery yourself may void the warranty or damage the watch.

Water Resistance

This watch is not designed to be waterproof. Avoid exposing the watch to water, including showering, swimming, or heavy rain, as this can cause internal damage.

Troubleshooting

  • Display is Blank:
    • Ensure the plastic battery tab (if present) has been removed.
    • Press the main button to activate the display.
    • The battery may be depleted. Refer to the "Battery Replacement" section.
  • Time is Incorrect:
    • Re-set the time following the instructions in the "Setting the Time" section.
    • If the time consistently loses accuracy, the battery may be low, or the watch may require servicing.
  • Buttons are Unresponsive:
    • Ensure the watch is not exposed to extreme temperatures.
    • The battery may be low.
    • If issues persist, contact customer support.
