This guide refers to buttons A, B, and C on the watch. Button A is typically the crown, Button B is a pusher on the side, and Button C is another pusher, often for light.
If the watch has a plastic guard, remove it from under the crown, then press the crown against the case. The second hand will begin advancing.
If the watch stops functioning (first check that the crown is not extended in the time setting position), the battery should be replaced immediately. Weak or dead batteries left in the watch for an extended time may damage the movement. For battery replacement, the watch may be sent to the Accutime service center. It is strongly recommended that a retailer or jeweler replace the battery.
DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERY IN FIRE. DO NOT RECHARGE. DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW BATTERIES. KEEP LOOSE BATTERIES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
If your watch needs service, wrap it carefully with protective material inside a mailing carton. Accutime advises sending the watch via insured mail. Do not include any special watchband or other personal valuables in the shipment.
Accutime Watch warrants to the original consumer purchaser that the movement of a new watch will be free from original defects in workmanship and material for one year from the date of purchase. The watch movement will be either replaced or repaired, or the watch will be replaced with one of an equal or greater value at Accutime's option.
ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED, COMMENCING ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to all consumers. This warranty gives specific legal rights, and consumers may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
PROOF OF PURCHASE IS REQUIRED TO ESTABLISH THAT THE WATCH IS WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD. During the warranty period, there is no charge for the repair or replacement of the watch movement. However, there is an $8.50 charge for handling. This handling charge may be changed without notice by Accutime Watch Corp. For repair or replacement of parts not covered by this warranty or after the warranty expires, consumers will be notified of the cost of repairs. Enclose a note stating why the watch needs repair. Remember to include a check or money order for $8.50. Do not send Cash.
A BILL OF SALE, CANCELED CHECK OR PAYMENT RECORD SHOULD BE KEPT (AND COPY SUBMITTED WITH WARRANTY WORK) TO ESTABLISH THE WARRANTY PERIOD.
Lay your watch face down (preferably on a cloth to prevent scratching). A sharp point or "spring bar tool" is needed to perform the following steps.
To remove links, push a pin forcefully in the direction of an arrow (if present on the link) until the link is detached. Repeat until the desired number of links are removed. To reattach, push the pin back into the link in the opposite direction of the arrow until it is flush with the band.
