Assembly and Initial Setup

The Gotrax EBE1 electric bike arrives 90% pre-assembled, simplifying the setup process. Follow these steps to prepare your bike for its first ride:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging.
2. Handlebar Installation: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and secure it firmly using the provided tools. Ensure the handlebar is aligned with the front wheel.
3. Seat Post Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the height to a comfortable riding position. Secure the quick-release clamp.
4. Pedal Attachment: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the corresponding crank arms. Note that the left pedal threads counter-clockwise. Tighten securely.
5. Tire Inflation: Inflate both tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.
6. Brake Check: Test both front and rear brakes to ensure they engage properly and provide adequate stopping power. Adjust if necessary.
7. Initial Charge: Fully charge the battery before your first ride. Refer to the 'Battery Charging and Care' section for detailed instructions.

Operating Your Gotrax EBE1

Powering On/Off

To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the display unit. To power off, press and hold the same button until the display turns off.

Riding Modes

The EBE1 offers multiple riding modes to suit your preference:

• Pure Electric Mode: Engage the throttle for full electric power without pedaling. Max range: 15.5 Miles (25 KM).
• Pedal-Assist Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal, extending your range and making rides easier. Max range: 27.9 Miles (45 KM).
• Sport Mode (Manual): Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle, using only pedal power.

Speed Control

Use the accelerator on the handlebar to control your speed in pure electric or pedal-assist modes. The bike can reach speeds of up to 15.5 mph.

Braking

Apply the brake levers on the handlebars to engage the front and rear disc brakes. Apply both brakes simultaneously for optimal stopping performance.

Folding and Storage

To fold the bike, locate the folding mechanisms on the frame and handlebar stem. Release the safety latches and fold the bike according to the instructions in the quick start guide. This allows for compact storage and easy transport.

Battery Charging and Care
