3. Setup

3.1 Device Overview

3.2 Mounting the Device

  1. Windshield Mounting:

    • Press the suction cup firmly against the glass and flip the lever to secure it.
  2. Dashboard Mounting:
    • For dashboard mounting, a separate adhesive disk or soft mount (not included) is required.
    • Attach the adhesive disk to a clean, flat surface on your dashboard.
    • Secure the suction cup of the mount to the adhesive disk.

3.3 Initial Power On and Charging

Connect the device to your car's power outlet using the provided car charger and USB-C cable. The device will automatically power on or can be turned on using the On/off button. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Map Updates

Your TomTom GO Classic includes monthly European map updates. These updates ensure you have the latest road information, including new roads, speed limits, and points of interest. Updates are installed directly on the device via Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for a computer.
