4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Inflation

  1. Unpack the SUP board and all accessories from the backpack. Lay the board flat on a clean, smooth surface.
  2. Locate the air valve on the board. Ensure the valve pin is in the 'up' position (open for inflation).
  3. Connect the hose of the standing air pump to the valve by twisting it securely.
  4. Begin pumping air into the board. Monitor the pressure gauge on the pump. Inflate the board to the recommended pressure, typically between 12-15 PSI (0.8-1.0 bar). Do not overinflate.
  5. Once inflated, quickly press the valve pin down to seal the valve. Disconnect the pump hose.

4.3 Paddle Assembly

  1. For stand-up paddling, assemble the two main sections of the aluminum paddle. Adjust the length to your height (typically, the paddle handle should reach your wrist when your arm is raised). Secure the adjustable clamp.
  2. For kayak mode, convert the paddle by attaching the second paddle blade instead of the handle section.

4.4 Kayak Seat Attachment

  1. Position the padded kayak seat on the board.
  2. Attach the seat straps to the D-rings located on the board. Adjust the straps for a comfortable and secure fit.

5. Operating

5.1 Stand-Up Paddling

  1. Enter the water with your board. Start by kneeling on the center of the board, placing your hands on either side for stability.
  2. Once comfortable, slowly stand up one foot at a time, placing your feet shoulder-width apart over the center of the board. Keep your knees slightly bent.
  3. Maintain balance by looking forward towards the horizon, not down at your feet. Use the adjustable paddle for propulsion and steering.

  1. Sit comfortably on the padded seat with your feet on the footrest.
  2. Use the double-bladed paddle for efficient kayaking.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

After each use, rinse the SUP board and all accessories with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and dirt. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6.2 Drying

Ensure the board is completely dry before deflating and storing. This prevents mold, mildew, and unpleasant odors. Wipe down with a towel and allow to air dry in a shaded area.

6.3 Storage

  1. Deflate the board by pressing the valve pin in and twisting it to lock it in the 'down' position. Allow all air to escape.
  2. Remove the fin, paddle, and kayak seat.
  3. Starting from the nose, roll the board tightly towards the tail, expelling any remaining air.
  4. Place the rolled board and all accessories into the provided backpack.
  5. Store the backpack in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6.4 Repair

The included repair kit contains patches for minor punctures. For repairs:

  1. Locate the puncture. Clean and dry the area around the damage thoroughly.
  2. Cut a patch from the repair material, ensuring it is larger than the puncture by at least 2-3 cm on all sides.
  3. Apply a suitable PVC adhesive (not included) evenly to the patch and the damaged area.
  4. Press the patch firmly onto the damaged area, smoothing out any air bubbles.
  5. Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before reinflating the board.
