6. Operating Modes

The MakerHawk M10 supports three primary operating modes: Bluetooth Receiver (RX), Bluetooth Transmitter (TX), and FM Transmitter. Use the TX/RX switch to select the desired Bluetooth mode.

6.1. Bluetooth Receiver (RX) Mode

In RX mode, the M10 receives audio wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and outputs it to a non-Bluetooth audio system (e.g., wired speakers, home stereo, car stereo).

  1. Slide the TX/RX switch to the RX position. The LED display will show "RX".
  2. Connect the M10 to your audio system using either the 3.5mm AUX cable or the RCA cables.
    • For 3.5mm AUX: Connect one end to the M10's AUX port and the other to your audio system's AUX input.
    • For RCA: Connect the red and white RCA plugs to the corresponding input ports on your audio system.
  3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device, turn on Bluetooth and search for "M10". Select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, audio from your device will stream wirelessly to the M10 and then to your connected audio system.
  5. Dual Smartphone Connection: In RX mode, the M10 can connect to two smartphones simultaneously. After connecting the first phone, enable Bluetooth on the second phone and connect to "M10". The M10 will prioritize audio from the device that is actively playing.

  1. Connect your audio source (e.g., smartphone via Bluetooth, USB stick) to the M10.
  2. Press the Power button briefly to cycle through modes until "FM" appears on the LED display.
  3. The display will show an FM frequency (e.g., 106.2 MHz). Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the FM frequency to an unused channel on your radio.
  4. Tune your FM radio (e.g., car radio) to the same frequency displayed on the M10.
  5. Audio playing through the M10 will now be broadcast to your FM radio.
  6. Note: If you experience signal interference, try switching to a different FM frequency or use AUX/RCA for transmission if available.

6.4. USB Stick Playback

The M10 supports direct audio playback from a USB stick (up to 128GB) in various lossless formats.

  1. Insert a USB stick containing audio files into the M10's USB port.
  2. The device will automatically detect the USB stick and begin playing audio.
