4. Setup

4.1 Placement

Place the sound bar on a flat, stable surface in front of your TV, or mount it on the wall below your TV. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the sound bar for optimal sound projection.

4.2 Connecting to Your TV

Choose one of the following connection methods:

HDMI ARC (Recommended)

  1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (ARC) port on the sound bar.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV.
  3. Ensure HDMI ARC is enabled in your TV's audio settings.

Optical Cable

  1. Connect one end of an optical cable (not included) to the OPTICAL IN port on the sound bar.
  2. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the Optical Digital Audio Out port on your TV.
  3. Ensure your TV's audio output is set to 'Optical' or 'PCM'.

4.3 Power Connection

  1. Connect the AC power cord to the sound bar's power input.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the remote control or on the sound bar to turn the unit on or off.

5.2 Volume Control

Use the Volume + or Volume - buttons on the remote control to adjust the volume. Press the Mute button to temporarily silence the sound.

5.3 Input Selection

Press the Input button on the remote control repeatedly to cycle through available input sources (HDMI ARC, Optical, Bluetooth, USB).

5.4 Bluetooth Pairing

6. Audio Modes

The Hisense HS205G Sound Bar offers multiple audio modes to optimize your listening experience for different types of content:
