Operating Instructions

Active/Passive Switch

Both the transmitter and receiver units feature an Active/Passive switch. This switch allows the system to accommodate instruments with different output levels, such as active pickups (higher output) or passive pickups (standard output).

  • Active: Select this setting for instruments with active pickups or preamps, which typically have a higher output signal.
  • Passive: Select this setting for instruments with passive pickups, which have a lower output signal.

Note: Ensure both the transmitter and receiver are set to the appropriate position (Active or Passive) to match your instrument and prevent signal clipping or weak signal.

Cable Tone Simulation

The Telepath Wireless System includes built-in cable tone simulation. This feature is designed to replicate the subtle tonal characteristics and capacitance of a traditional instrument cable, providing a more natural feel and sound that musicians are accustomed to. This ensures your tone remains consistent whether you're wired or wireless.

Multi-Unit Pairing

The system supports multi-unit pairing, allowing you to use up to four Telepath systems concurrently without interference. This is ideal for bands with multiple wireless instruments or for quick instrument changes during a performance.

  1. Ensure all units are powered off.
  2. Power on the first pair (transmitter and receiver) and allow them to pair.
  3. Once the first pair is stable, power on the second pair and allow them to pair. Repeat for up to four pairs.
  4. The system automatically manages channels to prevent crosstalk.

Maintenance

Charging

The Telepath Wireless System units are powered by internal rechargeable batteries.

  • Use the provided dual USB charging cable to charge both units simultaneously.
  • Connect the cable to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  • A red LED indicates charging, and it will turn green when fully charged.
  • Battery life can last for several hours of continuous use.

Cleaning

To clean the units, wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the units in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to fully charge the units before long-term storage and to recharge them every few months to maintain battery health.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No Sound / No ConnectionUnits not powered on; Not paired; Low battery; Incorrect Active/Passive setting.Ensure both units are powered on and fully charged. Press the Sync button to re-pair. Check Active/Passive switch matches instrument.

Latency (Delay in Sound)Excessive distance between units; Environmental interference.Reduce distance between transmitter and receiver. Minimize obstructions.
Poor Tone / ClippingIncorrect Active/Passive setting.Ensure the Active/Passive switch on both units is correctly set for your instrument's output type.
