Fender Telepath™ Wireless System

The Telepath Wireless System delivers full-frequency wireless audio from your guitar or bass over a range of up to 70 feet. The system utilizes the 5.8 GHz frequency band, providing a clear signal and reducing interference by avoiding the crowded 2.4 GHz bandwidth used by most wireless devices.

The ultra-flexible plug design accommodates a wide range of input jack positions. The built-in cable tone simulation circuit and passive/active switch ensure authentic tone for any instrument type. Simple controls and auto-pairing technology allow the transmitter (black unit) and receiver (blue unit) to pair automatically on power-up, transmitting signal within seconds.

Features

A. JACK PLUG: The plug swivels 270°. Plug heels feature raised tactile icons (F) for identification.
B. LED INDICATOR: Displays battery charge level and connection/pairing status for both transmitter and receiver.
C. POWER/SYNC BUTTON: A multi-function button for powering the unit on/off and manual syncing. Press and hold for two seconds to power on/off. Powering off either unit can act as a mute during instrument changes. Press and hold for five seconds to initiate manual syncing.
D. USB-C PORT: Used for charging the transmitter and receiver with the included dual USB-C cable.
E. ACTIVE/PASSIVE SWITCH (TRANSMITTER ONLY): Set to ACTIVE for instruments with high signal levels, such as those with onboard preamps.
F. TACTILE ICONS: Raised icons on the jack plug heels help quickly identify the transmitter and receiver in low light or darkness.

Startup

Plug the receiver (blue unit) into the amplifier's input jack.
Plug the transmitter (black unit) into the instrument's output jack.
Power on both units. Ensure both LED indicators turn green.

Syncing and Pairing

AUTO PAIRING: The transmitter and receiver are pre-synced and will pair automatically after startup.

MANUAL SYNCING: Up to three transmitters can be synced to one receiver for quick instrument changes. Only one transmitter can be actively paired to the receiver at a time; ensure unused transmitters are powered off.

To sync an additional transmitter or re-sync both units:

With the Telepath system off, press and hold the sync buttons on both units for five seconds.
The LED indicators on both units will flash red and blue during syncing. Allow up to 25 seconds for the transmitter and receiver to identify each other.
A successful sync is indicated by the receiver's LED turning solid green and the transmitter's LED flashing green.
The LED indicators on both units will then illuminate solid green, indicating they are paired and ready for use.
On subsequent startups, both units remain synced and connect automatically.
If no pairing unit is identified within 25 seconds, the LED indicators on both units will stop flashing and illuminate solid red. Power off the unit and restart the pairing process.

Charging, Battery Life, Connection/Pairing Status

The Telepath's transmitter and receiver can be charged simultaneously using the included dual USB-C cable. LED indicators show charging status: solid yellow illumination indicates charging; no illumination means fully charged.

On startup, the LED color indicates battery charge level:

RED FLASHING	Charge <5%, approx. 20 minutes left

During use, LED color indicates connection and pairing status:

YELLOW FLASHING	Standby	After 15 minutes without signal, the unit enters power-saving standby mode until transmitter signal resumes or the unit is powered off.
GREEN/ RED FLASHING	Connected/Low Battery	At less than 20 percent battery power, the GREEN LED flashes RED every five seconds.
RED FLASHING	Low Battery/ Imminent Shutdown	Battery nearing total depletion, with shutdown imminent.
