3. Setup
3.1. Filter Installation
The Winix T830 utilizes an all-in-one filter unit. To install or replace the filter:
- Carefully turn the air purifier upside down.
- Locate the filter cover at the base of the unit.
- Twist the cover counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
- Insert the new all-in-one filter unit into the purifier. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Replace the filter cover and twist clockwise to secure it.
- Return the air purifier to its upright position.

3.2. Initial Power On & Wi-Fi Setup
After installing the filter, plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The unit will power on and begin monitoring air quality. For smart features:
- Download the Winix Smart App from your device's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect your T830 Air Purifier to your home Wi-Fi network. This typically involves enabling location services and precise location on your smartphone during setup.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features a digital display and touch-sensitive buttons.

- Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- Air Quality Indicator: A light ring around the display changes color (Blue, Green, Orange, Red) to indicate current air quality. The digital display shows the PM2.5 level.
- Filter Button: Press to check the remaining filter life (displayed as F99 down to F00).
- Lighting Strength Button: Adjusts the brightness of the control panel lights (100%, 70%, 30%, Off).
- Fan Speed Arrows (< >): Toggles through fan speeds: Auto, Low, Medium, High, Turbo, and Night Mode.
- Auto Button: Directly switches the unit to Auto Mode, where it automatically adjusts fan speed based on real-time air quality readings.
- PlasmaWave Button (P): Toggles the PlasmaWave feature on or off. An icon above the air quality numbers indicates if it's active.
4.2. Fan Speed Settings
- Auto Mode: Recommended for general use. The unit intelligently adjusts fan speed based on real-time air quality readings.
- Manual Fan Speeds (Low, Medium, High, Turbo): Allows you to manually select the desired fan intensity. Turbo provides maximum air cleaning for heavily polluted air.
- Night Mode: Designed for quiet operation during sleep. It turns off display lights and sets the fan speed to an ultra-quiet level, even lower than the lowest manual setting.

4.3. Winix Smart App Functionality
The Winix Smart App provides enhanced control and monitoring capabilities:
- Remote Control: Power on/off, adjust fan speeds (Low, Medium, High, Turbo), activate Auto Mode, and toggle PlasmaWave.
- Air Quality History: View daily, weekly, or monthly air quality trends for both indoor (room) and outdoor environments.
- Filter Life Monitoring: Track the remaining lifespan of your HEPA filter.
- Scheduling: Set custom schedules for your air purifier to turn on/off or change settings at specific times and days.
- Voice Assistant Integration: Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Filter Replacement
The all-in-one filter unit should be replaced approximately every 12 months, depending on usage and air quality. The unit's display and the Winix Smart App will indicate when replacement is needed (F00 on the display).

5.2. Pre-Filter Cleaning
The Fine Mesh Pre-Filter is washable and should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimal performance. Gently vacuum or rinse the pre-filter with water. Ensure it is completely dry before re-installing.

- Unit not powering on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the filter cover is properly closed and locked.
