- DANGER: Risk of electric shock. Install at least 1.5 meters (5 feet) from all metal surfaces.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, do not permit children to use this product unless they are closely supervised at all times.
- WARNING: The water in a hot tub should never exceed 40°C (104°F). Water temperatures between 38°C (100°F) and 40°C (104°F) are considered safe for a healthy adult. Lower water temperatures are recommended for young children and when hot tub use exceeds 10 minutes.
- WARNING: Pregnant women and persons with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or other health conditions should consult a physician before using a hot tub.
- CAUTION: Do not use an extension cord or multi-plug adapter. Only use a grounded socket corresponding to the electrical rating of the attachment plug.
- Always ensure the hot tub is placed on a level surface capable of supporting its weight when filled with water and occupants.
- Regularly inspect the plug and socket for signs of damage. If damage is found, do not plug back into the socket.

Setup
1. Choose an Installation Location
Select a suitable location for your hot tub. The chosen area must meet the following criteria:
- Level Surface: The surface must be completely flat and capable of supporting the combined weight of the hot tub, water, and users.
- Adequate Drainage: Ensure there is proper drainage to prevent water accumulation around the hot tub.
- Grounded Receptacle: The location must be within 3.6 meters (12 feet) of a grounded, grounding-type electrical receptacle.
- Outdoor Setup Preferred: While indoor setup is possible, humidity can cause property damage. Consult an expert to ensure proper ventilation for indoor installations.
2. Electrical Safety Check
Before connecting the hot tub, perform the following electrical safety checks:
- DO NOT use an extension cord or multi-plug adapter.
- Only use a grounded socket that matches the electrical rating of the hot tub's plug.
- Ensure the socket is resistant to humidity and capable of high-power loading. If unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
- Regularly inspect the plug and socket for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.

3. Inflation
Unfold the hot tub liner and connect the inflation hose from the pump unit to the hot tub's inflation valve. The pump will automatically inflate the hot tub to the correct pressure. Ensure the hot tub is firm but not over-inflated.
4. Filling with Water
Once inflated, fill the hot tub with fresh water to the recommended fill line indicated on the inside of the liner. Do not overfill.
Operation
1. Control Panel Functions
The digital control panel on the pump unit allows you to manage all hot tub functions:
- Power Button: Turns the hot tub system on/off.
- Temperature Adjustment: Use the up/down arrows to set your desired water temperature (up to 40°C / 104°F).
- AirJet Button: Activates the 140 AirJet massage system. Press once for low intensity, twice for high intensity.
- Filter Button: Turns the water filtration system on/off.
- Heat Button: Activates the heating function. The indicator light will show when heating is active.

2. App Control (Bestway Smart Hub App)
Download the Bestway Smart Hub App on your smart device to control your hot tub remotely. The app allows you to:
- Set the desired water temperature.
- Activate the Power Saving Timer.
- Run the water filter.
- Control the AirJet massage system.
3. Power Saving Timer
The Power Saving Timer allows you to schedule the heating cycle up to 40 days in advance. This feature helps maintain your desired temperature while optimizing energy consumption.
Maintenance
1. Water Chemistry
Maintaining proper water chemistry is crucial for the longevity of your hot tub and the health of its users. Regularly test the water using test strips and adjust chemical levels (pH, chlorine/bromine, alkalinity) as needed. The included ChemConnect dispenser helps maintain a stable level of chlorine.
2. Filter Cartridge
The filter cartridge (Type VI) should be cleaned regularly, ideally after each use or daily, by rinsing it with a garden hose. Replace the filter cartridge every 1-2 weeks, or more frequently depending on usage and water quality.
3. Draining and Cleaning
Drain and clean your hot tub periodically, typically every 1-3 months, or as needed. Follow these steps:
- Turn off and unplug the hot tub.
- Attach a garden hose to the drain valve and direct the water to a suitable drainage area.
- Once drained, clean the interior surface of the hot tub with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the hot tub to dry completely before refilling or storing.
4. Winterizing (Freeze Shield)
The Freeze Shield automatic heating function protects the pump and liner from damage due to cold weather. When activated, the system will keep the internal water temperature between 5.5°C (42°F) and 10°C (50°F) to prevent freezing. If storing the hot tub for winter, ensure it is completely drained, cleaned, and dry before deflating and packing away.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your SaluSpa Hawaii hot tub.
- Hot Tub Not Heating: Check if the heater is activated on the control panel or app. Ensure the filter is clean and water flow is not obstructed. Verify the power supply is stable.
- AirJet System Not Working: Ensure the AirJet button is pressed. Check for any blockages in the air nozzles.
- Water Leaking: Inspect the hot tub liner for punctures. Use the provided repair patch kit for minor leaks. Check connections between the pump unit and the liner for tightness.
