Setup

- Attach Paint Container: Securely screw the 1400ml paint container onto the sprayer body. Ensure it is tightened to prevent leaks.
- Install Nozzle: Select the appropriate nozzle for your painting task. Insert it into the nozzle housing and secure it by tightening the retaining ring.
- Insert Battery: Insert a fully charged Dewalt 20V MAX battery into the battery slot at the base of the handle until it clicks into place.
- Fill with Paint: Fill the paint container with your desired paint. Ensure the paint is properly thinned according to the paint manufacturer's recommendations and suitable for spray application.
- Adjust Flow Control: Use the flow control knob (often located near the trigger) to set the desired paint flow rate. Start with a lower setting and adjust as needed.
Operating Instructions
- Prepare Surface: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and free of dust or debris. Mask off any areas not intended for painting.
- Select Spray Pattern: Rotate the air cap to select one of the three spray patterns:
- Circular: For small areas or detail work.
- Horizontal Oval: For vertical surfaces, providing a wider spray.
- Vertical Oval: For horizontal surfaces, providing a wider spray.
- Test Spray: Before painting your actual project, test the spray pattern and flow on a piece of scrap material. Adjust the flow control and spray pattern until you achieve the desired result.
- Begin Spraying: Hold the sprayer approximately 6-12 inches from the surface. Press the trigger to begin spraying. Move the sprayer in smooth, even strokes, overlapping each pass slightly to ensure even coverage.
- Maintain Distance: Keep a consistent distance from the surface to avoid uneven application or drips.
- Release Trigger: Release the trigger at the end of each stroke to prevent paint buildup.
- Dusting Function: The powerful 30000 RPM blower can also be used for dusting or blowing debris from surfaces before painting.
Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your paint sprayer. Clean the unit immediately after each use.
- Disconnect Power: Always remove the battery before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Empty Paint Container: Empty any remaining paint from the container back into its original can or a suitable storage container.
- Clean Container: Fill the paint container with an appropriate cleaning solution (water for latex paint, mineral spirits for oil-based paint). Spray the solution through the sprayer until it runs clear.
- Disassemble Nozzle and Container: Unscrew the paint container and detach the front spray assembly from the motor unit.
- Clean Components: Thoroughly clean all disassembled parts (nozzle, air cap, fluid needle, paint container, suction tube) using the provided cleaning kit and appropriate cleaning solution. Pay special attention to small orifices to prevent clogging.
- Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor unit in water.
- Dry and Reassemble: Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling the sprayer. Store in a clean, dry place.
