Setup

1. Charging Base Placement

Place the charging base against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter to the sides and 2 meters in front. Connect the power adapter to the charging base and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the robot is fully charged before its first use.

2. Initial Charging

Place the robot onto the charging base. The indicator lights will show charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours. Do not operate the robot until it is fully charged.

3. App and Voice Control Setup

Download the Msmartlife app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your Midea M7 to your home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can link the device to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice control. The app allows for easy connection via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Operating Instructions

1. Smart Mapping and Navigation

The Midea M7 utilizes 5th generation LiDAR technology for instant auto-mapping. It scans and maps your entire house, creating a 3D floor plan with virtual wall and editing functions. Maps for different floors can be saved within the Msmartlife app, allowing for customized cleaning routes and restricted areas.

2. Suction Power and Cleaning Modes

Equipped with an efficient BLDC motor, the M7 delivers up to 4000Pa suction power. You can control the suction level (Silent, Soft, Standard, Max) and water flow through the Msmartlife app to suit different cleaning needs and floor types. The robot also features carpet detection, automatically maximizing suction power when on carpets and returning to normal on hard floors.

3. Auto Return Charge

When cleaning is complete or the battery is low, the M7 will automatically return to its charging base. This ensures the robot is always ready for its next cleaning cycle.

4. Safety Features

  • Anti-Collision: The robot is equipped with 30 sensors to detect and avoid obstacles such as furniture and walls, protecting both the robot and your home.
  • Anti-Fall: Sensors prevent the robot from falling down stairs or off ledges, ensuring safe operation.
  • Climbing Ability: The M7 can climb over obstacles up to 20mm high, allowing for seamless transitions between different floor surfaces.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of your Midea M7 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner.

1. Cleaning the Dust Box and Filter

The dust box and HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly, ideally after each use or as needed depending on usage. Remove the dust box, empty its contents, and rinse it with water. The HEPA filter can also be rinsed under running water. Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembling them into the robot.

2. Cleaning Brushes

Periodically check and clean the main roller brush and side brushes. Remove any tangled hair, debris, or threads. Use the provided cleaning tool if necessary. Replace worn-out brushes to maintain cleaning efficiency.

3. Water Tank and Mopping Cloth

After wet cleaning, empty any remaining water from the tank and rinse it. Clean the mopping cloth thoroughly and allow it to air dry before reattaching or storing.

4. Sensor Cleaning

Wipe the robot's sensors (LDS sensor, cliff sensors, anti-collision sensors) with a soft, dry cloth to ensure accurate navigation and obstacle detection.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Midea M7, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the charging base is powered on and the robot is correctly docked. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the base.
  • Robot not starting: Check if the battery is charged. Press the power button firmly. Ensure no error indicators are active.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Clean the dust box, filter, and brushes. Check for any blockages in the suction inlet.
  • Navigation issues: Clean the LiDAR sensor and other navigation sensors. Ensure there are no new obstacles or changes in the environment that might confuse the robot. Reset the map in the app if necessary.
  • App connectivity problems: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and the robot is within range. Restart the robot and your router. Re-pair the device with the Msmartlife app if needed.
