5. Setup

5.1 App Installation

1. Download the CAM 720 app from your device's app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

5.2 Camera Placement

The JOOAN camera offers versatile installation options:

• Desktop Placement: Simply place the camera on a flat surface.
• Wall Mounted: Use the included mounting screws to secure the camera to a wall.
• Hoisting (Ceiling Mount): Mount the camera upside down on a ceiling for an overhead view.

5.3 Power Connection

Connect the camera to a power source using the provided charging cable and power adapter. The camera is plug-in powered.

5.4 Network Connection

1. Plug in the camera. It will enter pairing mode.
2. Open the CAM 720 app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device.
3. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
4. Once connected, the camera will be ready for use.

6. Operating the Camera

6.1 Live View

Open the CAM 720 app to access the live video feed from your camera anytime, anywhere. You can view your home, apartment, or monitor pets and babies.

6.2 Two-Way Audio

The camera features built-in two-way audio, allowing you to communicate with people or pets on the other end through the app. This is useful for calming pets or deterring intruders.

6.3 Night Vision Modes

The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low light conditions. It offers three distinct modes:

• Normal Night Vision: Standard black and white infrared view.
• Smart Full Color: Activates full-color night vision when motion is detected.
• Timed Full Color: Maintains full-color night vision during specific scheduled times.

6.4 Motion and Sound Detection

The camera can detect moving objects and sounds, sending instant alerts to your phone. You can adjust the sensitivity of motion detection in the app to minimize false alarms.

The camera supports two primary storage methods for video history:

• MicroSD Card: Insert a MicroSD card (up to 256GB, not included) into the camera for local storage.
• Cloud Storage: Subscribe to the cloud storage service for secure, remote video history access. A 30-day trial is typically offered.

6.6 ONVIF Protocol Integration

If you have a DVR or NVR video recorder that supports the ONVIF protocol, you can add the JOOAN camera to your existing security system for centralized monitoring.
