4. Setup and Installation
Professional installation is recommended. Ensure the main water supply is turned off before starting. The standard US NPT 1/2 thread is compatible with most plumbing systems.
4.1. Rough-in Valve Installation
- Identify hot and cold water inlets and outlets for the rain shower head and handheld shower.
- Secure the rough-in valve to the wall studs according to local plumbing codes and the provided dimensions.
- Connect the hot and cold water lines to the designated inlets on the valve.
- Connect the outlet lines to the ceiling shower arm and the handheld shower bracket.
- Ensure all connections are watertight using plumber's tape where necessary.
- Before closing the wall, flush the water pipes to remove any debris and prevent blockages.
4.2. Trim Kit and Shower Head Installation
- Once the wall is finished (tiled), cut off any excess material from the rough-in valve cover if needed.
- Install the decorative trim plate and handle onto the rough-in valve.
- Apply plumber's tape to the threads of the ceiling shower arm and screw it into the ceiling outlet.
- Attach the 10-inch rain shower head to the ceiling shower arm, ensuring a secure fit.
- Install the handheld shower bracket to the wall outlet, using plumber's tape on the threads.
- Connect the 59-inch shower hose to the handheld shower bracket and the handheld showerhead.

5. Operation
Your FORIOUS shower system is designed for intuitive use with a single handle control.
- Turning On/Off: Lift the main handle to turn on the water flow. Push down to turn off.
- Temperature Control: Rotate the main handle left for hotter water and right for colder water. The pressure-balanced valve will maintain your selected temperature.
- Flow Control/Diverter: The diverter knob allows you to switch between the rain shower head and the handheld spray. Rotate the knob to select your desired water outlet.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your shower system.
- Cleaning the Finish: Use a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for matte black finishes. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
