  3. Carefully place the speakers into the helmet's ear pockets, ensuring they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound quality. Press firmly to secure the Velcro.
  4. Route the speaker wires discreetly under the helmet's padding to the desired location for the main connection point.

2. Microphone Installation

Choose either the Boom Microphone or the Button Microphone based on your helmet type and preference.

For Boom Microphone:

  1. Attach a Velcro pad to the base of the boom microphone.
  2. Mount the boom microphone inside the helmet, near the left cheek pad, ensuring the microphone tip is positioned in front of your mouth when the helmet is worn.
  3. Route the microphone cable along the helmet's interior to the main connection point.

For Button Microphone:

  1. Attach a Velcro pad to the back of the button microphone.
  2. Mount the button microphone inside the helmet, typically near the chin bar or a suitable flat surface, ensuring it is close to your mouth.
  3. Route the microphone cable along the helmet's interior to the main connection point.

3. Connecting Components

  1. Connect the speaker cables to the corresponding ports on the main connection cable.
  2. Connect your chosen microphone cable to its designated port on the main connection cable.
  3. Once all components are connected, carefully re-install the helmet's inner padding, ensuring no wires are pinched or exposed.
  4. The main connection cable features a USB-C connector for connecting to your motorcycle communication device (not included).

Operating Instructions

The XGP X1 audio kit functions as an input/output device for your primary motorcycle communication system (e.g., Bluetooth intercom, GPS unit, phone). It does not have independent power or controls.

Connecting to Your Device

  1. Connect the USB-C end of the main connection cable to the appropriate port on your motorcycle communication device.
  2. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Once connected, audio from your communication device will be routed through the XGP X1 speakers, and your voice will be picked up by the installed microphone.

Audio Playback and Microphone Use

  • Audio Playback: The Hi-Fi speakers will reproduce audio from your connected device. Adjust volume and audio settings directly on your communication device.
  • Microphone Use: The selected microphone (boom or button) will transmit your voice to the connected communication device. Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly for clear voice pickup.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the speakers and microphones. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the audio kit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
