1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the DAYI Safe Box D-60. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your new safe. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure optimal security and functionality. This safe is designed to protect your valuables from unauthorized access.
2. Safety Information
- Keep emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe and not inside the safe itself.
- Do not store the user manual or emergency power supply inside the safe.
- Ensure the safe is mounted securely to prevent unauthorized removal.
- The included fireproof bag offers basic fire and water protection for documents, but the safe itself is not fireproof or waterproof.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
3. Package Contents
Carefully unpack your DAYI Safe Box and verify that all components listed below are present:

4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Initial Opening
- Locate the emergency keys provided in the accessories package.
- Insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole located behind the digital keypad cover.
- Turn the key clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
4.2 Battery Installation
The safe requires 4 x AA batteries (not included) for the digital keypad to function.
- Open the safe door using the emergency key.
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
- Insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
4.3 Setting Your Passcode
The default passcode is "123456". It is highly recommended to change this immediately.
- With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the safe door (usually near the hinge or battery compartment). You will hear a beep.
- On the keypad, enter your desired 3-8 digit passcode.
- Press the '#' key to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep.
- Test your new passcode with the door open before closing it.

4.4 Mounting Instructions
To enhance security, it is recommended to mount the safe to a wall or floor.
- Choose a suitable location for mounting.
- Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the safe.
- Drill pilot holes in the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit.
- Align the safe with the drilled holes.
- Secure the safe using the provided mounting hardware (bolts).

5. Operation
5.1 Unlocking with Passcode
- Enter your programmed 3-8 digit passcode on the digital keypad.
- Press the '#' key.
- Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
5.2 Unlocking with Key
This method is for initial opening, forgotten passcodes, or dead batteries.
- Remove the keypad cover to reveal the keyhole.
- Insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole.
- Turn the key clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
5.3 Emergency Power Supply
If the batteries are depleted and you cannot open the safe with the passcode, use the emergency power supply.
- Connect the emergency battery box (included) to the USB-C port on the keypad.
- Alternatively, connect a USB-C power bank (not included) to the USB-C port.
- Once power is supplied, you can enter your passcode as usual to open the safe.
5.4 Dual Alarm System
The safe features a dual alarm system for enhanced security.
- If three incorrect passcodes are entered consecutively, a loud 70-decibel alarm will sound.
- Any forceful breach or tampering with the safe will also trigger the alarm.
- The alarm will sound for a set period or until a correct passcode is entered or the safe is opened with the emergency key.

5.5 Interior Features
- Removable Shelves: The safe includes two removable shelves, allowing for customizable interior organization to accommodate various item sizes.
- LED Sensor Light: An integrated LED light illuminates the interior when the door is opened, providing clear visibility of your belongings.
- Key Rack: Built-in hooks provide a convenient place to hang keys or small items.
- Soft Interior Lining: The interior is lined with a custom carpet to protect delicate valuables from scratches and damage.

6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 4 x AA batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears on the keypad. Always use new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Keypad Care: Keep the keypad dry and free from dust or debris.
- Door Hinges: Periodically check the door hinges for smooth operation. Do not lubricate unless necessary and only with a recommended lubricant.
7. Troubleshooting
- Safe will not open with passcode:
- Ensure batteries are not depleted. Use the emergency power supply if needed.
- Verify you are entering the correct passcode.
- Try opening with the emergency key.
- Keypad is unresponsive:
- Replace batteries.
- Use the emergency power supply.
- Alarm sounds unexpectedly:
- Check if the safe has been tampered with or if incorrect passcodes were entered.
- Enter the correct passcode or use the emergency key to silence the alarm.
- Door does not close properly:
- Ensure no obstructions are preventing the door from fully closing.
- Check if the locking bolts are retracted before attempting to close.
