4.2 First Use and Calibration
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device.
- Upon startup, place the detector in a well-ventilated area for approximately 20 minutes. This allows the sensor to stabilize and calibrate to ambient air conditions.
- Once the data displayed becomes stable, the device is ready for accurate detection in your desired location.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
To power on the device, press and hold the power button located on the side for approximately 3 seconds. To power off, repeat the same action by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds.
5.2 Understanding the Display
The digital display provides real-time readings for CO2 concentration, temperature, and humidity. The CO2 reading is prominently displayed in PPM (Parts Per Million) and is accompanied by a color-coded indicator (green, yellow, red) and flashing lights to signify different concentration levels.

Figure 5.1: Close-up of the ZN-MT03 display interface.
- CO2 (PPM): Main numerical reading. Color changes and flashing lights indicate concentration levels (e.g., green for good, yellow for moderate, red for high).
- TEMP (°C): Current ambient temperature.
- HUMI (%RH): Current relative humidity.
- Battery Indicator: Shows remaining battery life.
5.3 Application
The ZN-MT03 is versatile and can be used in various settings to monitor air quality:
- Homes and Offices: To ensure healthy indoor air quality.
- Agricultural Planting & Greenhouses: To optimize CO2 levels for plant growth.
- Production Warehouses & Laboratories: For environmental monitoring and safety.
