4. Setup
4.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the lock using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the cable to the lock's USB-C port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The indicator lights will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.
4.2 App Download and Installation
Search for the "eLinkSmart" app on your mobile device's app store (available for Android and iOS). Download and install the application.
4.3 Pairing the Lock with the App
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- Open the eLinkSmart app and create an account or log in.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. The app will search for nearby eLinkSmart locks.
- Select your lock from the list to pair. You may need to touch the fingerprint sensor on the lock to activate it for pairing.
4.4 Adding Fingerprints
The first fingerprint registered will be the administrator fingerprint. This fingerprint has full control over the lock, including adding and deleting other user fingerprints.
- In the eLinkSmart app, navigate to "Fingerprint Management."
- Select "Add Fingerprint."
- Place your finger on the lock's sensor, lift, and repeat as prompted by the app (typically 5-10 times) until the fingerprint is successfully registered.
- For additional users, repeat the process. The lock can store up to 20 unique fingerprints.

5. Operating the Lock
5.1 Unlocking with Fingerprint
To unlock the padlock using a registered fingerprint, simply place your finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock within 0.2 seconds if the fingerprint is recognized.
5.2 Unlocking with Mobile App
Ensure your mobile device is within Bluetooth range of the lock and the eLinkSmart app is open and connected to the lock.
- Open the eLinkSmart app.
- Select your lock from the device list.
- Tap the "Unlock" button within the app. The lock will disengage.

5.3 Locking the Device
To lock the padlock, simply push the shackle down firmly until it clicks into place. The lock will automatically secure itself.
5.4 Battery Status Check
The lock features indicator lights that show battery status. You can also check the precise battery level through the eLinkSmart mobile app.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Charging
When the battery is low, the indicator lights will signal a low power warning. Recharge the lock using the provided USB-C cable. A full charge typically takes a few hours.

6.2 Cleaning

6.4 Weather Resistance

7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Fingerprint Not Recognized
- Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
- Try different angles or positions of your finger on the sensor.
- If the issue persists, delete and re-register your fingerprint in the app.
- Ensure the fingerprint sensor is clean and free of debris.
7.2 App Connectivity Issues
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
- Make sure the lock is within Bluetooth range (typically 10 meters).
- Close and reopen the eLinkSmart app.
- Restart your mobile device.
- If the lock is unresponsive, try charging it.
7.3 Lock Not Responding / Dead Battery
- Connect the lock to a USB-C power source immediately. The lock may have enough residual power to unlock once connected to power, allowing you to access your belongings.
- Allow the lock to charge for at least 10-15 minutes before attempting to unlock again.
