These electronic ear defenders utilize internal circuitry to amplify low-level sounds, such as speech or environmental noises, allowing you to maintain awareness of your surroundings. Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on one of the ear cups.
- Gently open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Adjusting the Fit
- Extend the adjustable telescopic rods on both sides of the headband.
- Place the ear defenders over your ears, ensuring the ear cups fully cover your ears and create a snug seal.
- Adjust the headband length by sliding the ear cups up or down until a comfortable and secure fit is achieved. The padded headband should rest comfortably on your head.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Volume Control
- To power on the ear defenders, rotate the volume control button located on the ear cup clockwise. You will hear a click, indicating the unit is on.
- Continue rotating the button clockwise to increase the volume of ambient sounds.
- Rotate the button counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
- To power off, rotate the button counter-clockwise until you hear a click.
2. Using the Audio Input
- Connect one end of the provided 3.5mm audio cable to the audio input jack on the ear defender.
- Connect the other end of the audio cable to your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, walkie-talkie).
- Adjust the volume on your external device as needed.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the ear cups and headband with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Storage: When not in use, fold the ear defenders for compact storage. Store them in the provided hard case to protect them from dust, moisture, and physical damage.
