4. Setup and Assembly

5. Operating Instructions

The Mollom Bi-Metal Hole Saw is suitable for cutting various materials:

Cutting Procedure:

  1. Mark the center of the desired hole on your workpiece.
  2. Position the pilot drill bit on the marked center.
  3. Start the drill at a low speed, applying gentle pressure. The pilot drill will guide the hole saw.
  4. Once the hole saw teeth engage the material, increase the speed gradually, maintaining steady pressure.
  5. For metal cutting, use a cutting lubricant to extend the life of the saw and improve cutting efficiency.
  6. After completing the cut, the spring on the pilot drill will automatically push the cut disc out.

Excessive vibration or noise during cutting. Incorrect speed, dull saw, or improper technique. Adjust drill speed. Ensure hole saw teeth are sharp. Maintain steady pressure and alignment.
Material getting stuck inside the hole saw. Spring mechanism not functioning or material is too thick. Check if the spring is clear of debris and moves freely. For very thick materials, you may need to manually remove the slug.
