Setup

1. Battery Installation

To install the Li-ion battery (rated at 5200mAh), align the battery with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it upwards until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent accidental detachment during use.

2. Antenna Attachment

Screw the desired antenna (either the original goose tube antenna or the tactical antenna) clockwise onto the SMA-Female connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

3. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the battery. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the radio's USB-C port and the other end to the US charger adapter or a compatible USB power source (e.g., power bank, laptop, car charger). The charging indicator light will be red during charging and turn green when fully charged.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

To power on the radio, rotate the volume knob clockwise until you hear a click. To power off, rotate it counter-clockwise until it clicks off.

2. Wireless Frequency Copy (One-Click Copying)

The UV-25 features a wireless frequency copy function for quick and efficient channel matching. Refer to the on-screen prompts or the specific button combination in the radio's menu for initiating this process. This allows for rapid duplication of frequencies from another radio.

3. Programming the Radio
