Setup and Installation
The AIKE AK1216 offers two installation methods: no-drill (adhesive) for smooth surfaces and drilled installation for uneven or peeling surfaces to ensure long-lasting stability.
Important Considerations:
- Ensure the installation surface is clean and dry before applying adhesive.
- Maintain a minimum installation gap of 10 inches (25cm) between the dispenser's bottom and the countertop/sink to allow for proper sensor function and hand placement.

Figure 2: Recommended Installation Clearance
This image illustrates the recommended minimum 10-inch (25cm) installation gap required between the bottom of the dispenser and the countertop or sink for optimal use.
1. No-Drill (Adhesive) Installation:
This method is suitable for smooth, flat surfaces such as tiles, glass, or polished metal.
- Thoroughly clean and dry the desired wall surface with a paper towel. This step is critical for adhesive performance.
- Attach the adhesive mounting plate to the cleaned surface, pressing firmly for several seconds.
- Wait for at least 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure before mounting the dispenser.
- Align the dispenser with the mounting plate and slide it down until it securely locks into place.

- Mark the desired drilling positions on the wall using the mounting plate as a template.
- Drill holes at the marked positions.
- Insert the expansion bolts into the drilled holes.
- Secure the mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws.

Battery Replacement:
- When the dispenser's performance decreases or the indicator light signals low battery, replace all 4 AA batteries.
- Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the "Battery Installation" section.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Dispenser not working | Low or dead batteries; incorrect battery installation; sensor obstruction. | Replace batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Clean the sensor area. |
| No soap dispensed | Empty reservoir; clogged pump; soap too thick. | Refill with liquid soap. Clean the pump mechanism. Dilute thick soap with a small amount of water. |
| Dispensing too much/too little soap | Incorrect dispensing volume setting. | Adjust the dispensing volume using the control button. |
| Dispenser falls off wall (adhesive method) | Surface not properly cleaned/dried; insufficient curing time; unsuitable surface. | Re-clean and dry surface thoroughly, reapply adhesive, and wait 24 hours. Consider drilled installation for better stability. |
