Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan and ensure the smooth operation of your SEPOX padlock.

General Care:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the padlock body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Moisture: Although waterproof, if moisture gets into the lock cylinder, wipe it off with a towel to prevent potential long-term issues and extend service life.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant or a silicone-based spray into the keyway and around the shackle mechanism. This helps maintain smooth operation, especially in dusty or humid environments. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
