  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance matches your local power supply before connecting. Always unplug the slicer from the outlet when not in use, before cleaning, or when changing accessories. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Blade Safety: The blades are extremely sharp. Handle with extreme care. Always use the food pusher to guide food and keep hands away from the blade during operation. Never touch the blade while the appliance is plugged in.
  • Child Safety: This appliance is not intended for use by children. Keep the slicer and its cord out of reach of children. Utilize the child lock protection feature.
  • Stable Placement: Always operate the slicer on a stable, flat, and dry surface. The non-slip suction feet must be securely attached to prevent movement during use.
  • Proper Use: Use the appliance only for its intended household purpose of slicing food. Do not attempt to slice frozen food, bones, or other non-food items.

3. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and the slicer is clean.

  1. Unpack the Slicer: Carefully remove the slicer and all its components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or transport if needed.
  2. Position the Slicer: Place the slicer on a clean, dry, flat, and stable countertop. Press down firmly on the top of the slicer to engage the four non-slip suction feet, ensuring it is securely fixed to the surface.
  3. Install the Blade: Choose the appropriate blade (serrated or smooth) for the food you intend to slice. Align the blade with the motor shaft and rotate it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Attach Food Pusher and Carriage: Slide the food carriage onto its rail. Attach the food pusher to the food carriage.
  5. Initial Cleaning: Wipe down all parts that will come into contact with food using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your YASHE Electric Slicer.

  1. Prepare Food: Ensure food items are free from bones or hard foreign objects. For best results, chill soft meats or cheeses slightly before slicing.
  2. Adjust Slice Thickness: Rotate the thickness control knob to your desired slice thickness, from 0 mm (paper-thin) to 15 mm.

  4. Load Food: Place the food item onto the food carriage, ensuring it is securely held against the guide plate and the food pusher. Use the BPA-free food pusher to hold the food firmly.

  6. Power On: Plug the slicer into a grounded electrical outlet. To turn on the slicer, press both buttons of the child lock protection switch simultaneously. The motor will start.
  7. Begin Slicing: While the blade is rotating, gently push the food carriage forward and backward, guiding the food against the rotating blade with the food pusher. Apply even pressure for consistent slices.
  8. Power Off: Once slicing is complete, release the power switch. Unplug the slicer from the outlet.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your slicer. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.

  1. Unplug and Disassemble: Ensure the slicer is unplugged. Carefully remove the blade by rotating it counter-clockwise. Detach the food pusher and food carriage.

  3. Clean Removable Parts: The blades, food pusher, and food carriage are dishwasher safe or can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent rust, especially on the blades.
  4. Clean Slicer Body: Wipe the main body of the slicer with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor unit in water. Use a small brush to remove any food particles from crevices.
  5. Blade Care: Handle blades with extreme caution. Store them in a safe place when not in use.
  6. Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the slicer by reversing the disassembly steps.
  7. Storage: Store the slicer in a dry, safe place, out of reach of children.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your YASHE Electric Slicer, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

  • Slicer does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Verify that both buttons of the child lock protection switch are pressed simultaneously to activate the slicer.

    • Ensure the food item is firmly pressed against the guide plate and food pusher.
    • Check that the blade is securely installed and not loose.
    • Adjust the thickness setting to ensure it is locked in place.

    • Ensure the food item is not frozen or excessively hard.
