4. Setup Guide
4.1. Battery Installation and Charging
The RunCam 6 uses a replaceable 850mAh battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. Connect the camera to a 5-20V DC power source via the Micro-USB port using the provided USB cable. The LED indicator will show charging status.

4.2. Micro SD Card Insertion
Insert a compatible Micro SD card (up to 512GB, U3 or above recommended for 2.7K@60fps, 2.7K@50fps, 1080P@120fps) into the designated slot. Ensure the card is formatted to exFAT to prevent errors.
4.3. Lens Protection and ND Filter
The camera comes with a detachable lens protective cover made of 3mm Corning Gorilla Glass for durability. Replaceable ND filters can be used to achieve better recording effects under different outdoor lighting conditions. To install or remove, gently twist the protective cover or ND filter.

4.4. Mounting the Camera
Utilize the provided mount and 1/4 tripod adapter to secure the camera to your desired platform (e.g., FPV drone, RC car, helmet). The mount features a tool-less design for easy attachment and removal.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off and Recording
To power on the camera, slide the power switch. To start recording, slide the record switch. The camera will vibrate three times to confirm recording has started. Slide the switch back to stop recording, and it will vibrate once to confirm.

5.2. Video Modes and Settings
The RunCam 6 supports multiple video resolutions and frame rates, including 4K@30fps, 2.7K@60fps, and 1080P@120fps. Settings can be adjusted via the mobile app or on-device controls. The camera also supports Pre-Record and Time-Lapse functions.

5.3. Wi-Fi Connectivity and App Control
Download the dedicated RunCam app for iOS or Android to connect your smartphone to the camera via Wi-Fi. This allows for live video preview, remote control of recording, and easy transfer of footage.

5.4. HDMI and CVBS Output
The camera features an HDMI port and real-time CVBS output, allowing you to connect it to a television, FPV monitor, or other display devices for immediate viewing of your footage or live feed.

5.5. Serial PWM Control
The RunCam 6 supports Serial PWM control, enabling integration with flight controllers or other remote control systems for advanced functionality.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the Lens
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the camera lens. For stubborn smudges, a specialized lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
6.2. Battery Care
Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods. If storing for a long time, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
6.3. Storage
When not in use, store the camera in a protective case to prevent dust and physical damage. Remove the battery if storing for prolonged periods.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. Recording Issues
- Camera stops recording unexpectedly: Ensure the Micro SD card is a high-speed (U3 or above) card and is formatted correctly (exFAT). Check battery level.
- Shaky footage: While EIS and GyroFlow are supported, ensure the camera is securely mounted to minimize vibrations. Post-processing with GyroFlow software can further stabilize footage.
7.2. Wi-Fi Connectivity Problems
- Unable to connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure the camera's Wi-Fi mode is activated. Check that your mobile device is within range and try restarting both the camera and your mobile device's Wi-Fi.
- Wi-Fi connection lag: Performance can vary based on environmental factors and mobile device. Ensure minimal interference.
