Camera Module Connection
This section visually depicts the connection between the camera module and the main board of the RunCam Split-H.
Basic Camera Operations
Power on/off
To power on, long press the Power/Shutter button ?. The power light indicator ? will turn on, indicating the camera is active.
To power off, long press the Power/Shutter button ? again. The power light indicator ? will turn off, indicating the camera is shut down.
Video Mode
After powering on, a short press of the Power/Shutter button ? will start recording ▶️. The power indicator ? will blink slowly. To stop recording, short press the Power/Shutter button ? again; the power indicator ? will stay solid.
Abnormal Conditions
Card Error ⚠️: If there is no MicroSD card, the card is full, or a low-speed card is used, the indicator light will blink red quickly.
Abnormal Booting ❌: If the camera fails to detect the module, the red light will blink slowly for 2 seconds, and the camera will shut off after 5 seconds.
MicroSD Card
Handle memory cards with care, avoiding liquids, dust, and debris. For safety, power off the camera before inserting or removing the card ?. Consult the card manufacturer's guidelines for acceptable operating temperature ranges.
If the camera cannot record, please format the MicroSD card using a computer.
HDMI Connection
The RunCam Split-H can be connected to an HDMI display ? for video output.
Firmware Update
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use the latest firmware ⬆️. During a firmware update, the red light will blink fast, and the camera will automatically shut off upon completion.
The firmware file name is: split-hc.bin
.
PWM Remote Control
This section details setting up remote control using PWM signals, using the Flight Controller Speedy Bee-F7 as an example. Connect the RunCam Split-H to the SpeedyBee F7V3 using the provided cables:
- Power wire (red) to the 5V pad.
- Ground wire (black) to the GND pad.
- PWM wire (yellow) to the M6 pad.
The diagram shows the Runcam Split-H board connected to the SpeedyBeeF7V3 board, illustrating the connection points.
Steps to Configure
- Configure M6 at CLI mode.
- Connect to BetaFlight and enter the CLI interface.
- Type 'resource' to proceed, then enter the following commands:
# resource motor 6 none
# resource pinio 2 B05
# set pinio_config = 129,129,1,1
# set pinio_box = 0,41 ,255,255
# save

Configuration (BetaFlight Modes)
Navigate to the 'Modes' tab in BetaFlight. Find 'Mode USER2' and configure it using AUX3, with a range set between 1900-2100.
On your radio controller, select your model, access the MIXER interface, and assign the desired channel to a switch. For example, using a Radiomaster TX12, assign CH7 to the SF position.
