Setup
Mounting the Cord Reels (SL-864 & SL-800)
Both the SL-864 work light reel and the SL-800 cord reel are designed for wall mounting or hanging. The steel reel enclosures come with integrated brackets for this purpose.
- Select Location: Choose a sturdy wall or overhead beam capable of supporting the weight of the reel and its cord.
- Secure Bracket: Use appropriate fasteners (not included) to securely attach the mounting bracket to the chosen surface. Ensure the bracket is level and firmly fixed.
- Hang Reel: Carefully hang the cord reel onto the secured bracket. Verify that it is stable and cannot easily be dislodged.

Connecting to Power
Once mounted, plug the main power cord of each reel into a standard grounded electrical outlet.
- For the SL-864, the work light will be ready for use once plugged in.
- For the SL-800, the LED power status light on the outlet bar will illuminate, indicating power is available.
Operating Instructions
Using the Bayco SL-864 LED Work Light
- Extend Cord: Pull the work light cord from the reel to the desired length. The reel mechanism will lock the cord in place.
- Activate Light: Locate the power switch on the handle of the SL-864 work light. Toggle the switch to the "ON" position to illuminate the LEDs.
- Position Light: Use the integrated hook on the work light to hang it, or position it as needed for your task.
- Retract Cord: To retract the cord, pull the cord slightly further out, then release it slowly. The spring-loaded mechanism will retract the cord back into the reel. Guide the cord to prevent tangling.
- Deactivate Light: Toggle the power switch to the "OFF" position when finished.
