4. Installation and Setup

Professional installation is recommended for optimal performance and security. Ensure your door meets the following specifications:

  • Normal Fire Door Thickness: 40mm ~ 60mm

4.1. Pre-Installation Checklist

  1. Verify all package contents are present.
  2. Ensure the door dimensions are compatible with the lock.
  3. Gather necessary tools (screwdriver, drill, measuring tape, etc.).

4.2. Basic Installation Steps (Overview)

  1. Prepare the door by drilling necessary holes according to the provided template.
  2. Install the mortise lock into the door edge.
  3. Mount the exterior and interior lock bodies, connecting the necessary cables.
  4. Secure the lock bodies with screws.
  5. Install batteries (not included) into the interior unit.
  6. Perform initial setup and registration of master PIN code, fingerprints, and RF cards.

4.3. Initial Setup and Registration

Upon first power-up, you will need to set up the master PIN code. Refer to the specific instructions provided with your lock for detailed steps on registering user PINs, RF cards, and fingerprints. The lock supports:

  • PIN Number: Up to 4 PIN numbers (4-12 digit combination).
  • RF Card: Up to 30 cards.
  • Fingerprint: Up to 100 fingerprints (CDL-210P model).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Opening the Door from Outside

  • Using PIN Number: Touch the keypad to activate, enter your registered PIN code followed by the '*' or '#' button. Then pull the handle. You can use dummy numbers before or after your actual PIN for added security.
  • Using RF Card: Place your registered RF card on the card reader area. The lock will unlock. Then pull the handle.
  • Using Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint scanner. The lock will unlock. Then pull the handle.
  • Using Mechanical Key: Insert the mechanical key into the emergency keyhole and turn to unlock. Then pull the handle. This method is for emergencies or when batteries are depleted.

5.2. Opening the Door from Inside

  • Simply push the handle down to open the door. The lock is designed for quick exit.

5.3. Locking the Door

  • Automatic Lock: The lock will automatically engage after the door is closed.
  • Manual Lock (Optional): Depending on settings, you may be able to manually lock the door from the outside by touching the keypad or from the inside by pressing a specific button.
  • Double Lock Function: This feature provides enhanced security, preventing entry even with registered credentials from the outside. Refer to your lock's specific programming instructions to activate/deactivate.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

The lock is powered by 8pcs LR6 1.5V AA batteries (not included). When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an audible or visual warning. Replace all batteries simultaneously with new alkaline AA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

6.2. Emergency Power Supply

In case the batteries are completely depleted and you cannot open the lock, you can use a 9V square battery as an emergency power source. Connect the 9V battery to the emergency power terminals on the exterior unit, then use your PIN, RF card, or fingerprint to unlock.

6.3. Cleaning

Clean the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. Keep the fingerprint sensor and keypad clean for optimal performance.

7. Troubleshooting
