3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Controller
Before initial use, fully charge your controller. Connect the included Type-C cable to the USB-C port on the controller and to a compatible USB power source. The player indicator LEDs will show charging status.
3.2 Powering On/Off
To power on the controller, press and hold the recessed power button located on the top edge. To power off, press and hold the same button. The recessed design prevents accidental power-ons during travel.
3.3 Pairing with Devices
The controller supports both Bluetooth and Nintendo Switch modes. Use the BT/SW switch on the top edge to select the desired mode.
- For Nintendo Switch:
- Set the mode switch to "SW".
- On your Nintendo Switch, navigate to "Controllers" > "Change Grip/Order".
- Press and hold the Home button on the controller for 3 seconds until the player indicator LEDs begin to flash.
- Once paired, the corresponding player LED will light up solid.
- For Bluetooth Devices (PC, Mac, Android, iOS, Steam, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Raspberry Pi, Amazon Games/Luna, Tesla):
- Set the mode switch to "BT".
- On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Press and hold the Home button on the controller for 3 seconds until the player indicator LEDs begin to flash.
- Select "Hyperkin Pixel Art Controller" from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the corresponding player LED will light up solid.
To resync the controller, press the Home button.
