- Descaling: If mineral deposits build up in the water reservoir, use a descaling solution suitable for small appliances or a mixture of white vinegar and water. Follow the product instructions for descaling and rinse thoroughly.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MABIS Steam Inhaler, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No steam produced | Unit not plugged in or turned on; Insufficient water in reservoir; Unit is faulty. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and the power switch is in the 'ON' position (illuminated). Check that the water reservoir is filled to the correct level. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Steam is weak or inconsistent | Low water level; Mineral buildup in heating element; Steam control lever set too low (for nasal mask). | Verify water level. Perform descaling if mineral buildup is suspected. Adjust the steam control lever to a higher setting if using the nasal mask. |
| Unit leaks water | Water reservoir overfilled; Attachment not securely locked. | Ensure water is filled only up to the red line. Re-attach the mask, turning clockwise until it is firmly locked. |
| Power switch does not light up | Unit not receiving power; Faulty switch. | Check power outlet and cord connection. If power is confirmed and the switch still doesn't light, the unit may be faulty. |
