Setup
Before operating your NUX DP-2000, ensure all necessary connections are made.
Power Connection
Connect the provided DC 9V power adapter to the 'DC IN 9V' port on the rear panel of the unit and plug it into a power outlet.
Audio Connections
- Output: Connect the 'OUTPUT (L/MONO, R)' jacks to your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface using standard 1/4-inch TS cables.
- Phones: For private practice, connect headphones to the 'PHONES' jack.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press the 'POWER' button located on the top left of the unit to turn the DP-2000 on or off.
User Interface and Navigation
The DP-2000 features a colorful large screen and an interactive UI. Use the 'VALUE/ENTER' knob and navigation buttons to browse menus, select kits, and adjust parameters.

Selecting Kits and Sounds
- Press the 'KIT' button to enter the kit selection menu.
- Turn the 'VALUE/ENTER' knob to scroll through the 20 available presets.
- Press the 'VALUE/ENTER' knob to confirm your selection.
Layer Function
The layer function allows you to assign two different sounds to a single pad, triggered by different velocity levels or zones. Refer to the on-screen menu for detailed setup of pad layers.
Wavimport Function
To import custom drum samples:
- Save your WAV audio files onto a USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the 'USB DISK/BLUETOOTH MODULE' port.
- Navigate to the Wavimport menu on the DP-2000's screen.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select and import your desired samples to specific pads.
On-Board Effects
The DP-2000 includes six on-board effects. Use the 'FX1' and 'FX2' knobs to adjust effect parameters. The screen provides visual feedback for effect settings.
Recording and Playback
Use the 'REC' button to initiate recording and 'PLAY/STOP' to control playback of your performances. The unit supports basic recording functionalities for practice and composition.
