1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the USHINING T380D 4G Flip Phone. Designed for ease of use, this phone features large buttons, dual screens, and an SOS emergency function, making it suitable for seniors. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your device to ensure proper operation and safety.

3. Device Layout

The USHINING T380D 4G Flip Phone features a clamshell design with two screens and large, easy-to-press buttons.

• Main Screen: 2.4-inch color display for calls, messages, and menu navigation.
• External Screen: 1.77-inch display showing date, time, contacts, and battery level when the phone is closed.
• Large Buttons: Enhanced for easy dialing and text input.
• SOS Button: Located on the device for emergency calls and messages.
• High-Volume Speaker: Ensures clear audio during calls.

4. Setup

4.1. Installing the SIM Card and Battery

1. Open the back cover of the phone.
2. Insert one or two Nano SIM cards into the designated slots. Ensure the gold contacts face downwards. The phone supports dual SIM 4G.
3. If desired, insert a microSD card (up to 32GB, not included) into the memory card slot for expanded storage.
4. Insert the 1000 mAh Lithium-ion battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
5. Replace the back cover until it clicks into place.

4.2. Charging the Phone

Before first use, fully charge the phone. Use the provided Type-C charging cable and charging base.

1. Connect the Type-C cable to the charging base.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into a power adapter (not included) and then into a wall outlet.
3. Place the phone into the charging base. The phone will indicate that it is charging.
4. Alternatively, you can connect the Type-C cable directly to the phone's charging port.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the Power/End Call button (red button) until the screen lights up.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the power-off options appear, then select "Power Off".

5.2. Making Calls

1. Open the phone.
2. Dial the desired phone number using the large numeric keypad.
3. Press the Call button (green button) to initiate the call.
4. To end a call, press the Power/End Call button (red button).

5.3. Quick Dial

The phone supports quick dial for numbers 2-9. To set up quick dial:

1. Go to Settings > Speed Dial.
2. Select a number (2-9) and assign a contact from your phonebook.
3. To use quick dial, press and hold the assigned numeric key.

5.4. Sending SMS Messages

The large icons and characters facilitate easier SMS composition and reading.

1. Navigate to Messages from the main menu.
2. Select New Message.
3. Enter the recipient's number or select from contacts.
4. Type your message using the keypad.
5. Press Send.

5.5. SOS Emergency Function

The SOS button allows you to quickly contact pre-set emergency numbers.

1. Setting up SOS Numbers: Go to Settings > SOS Settings. You can set up to 5 emergency contact numbers.
2. Using the SOS Function: In an emergency, press and hold the SOS button. The phone will automatically call the pre-set emergency contacts in sequence and send an emergency SMS message to them.

6. Advanced Features

• Alarms: Set up to 10 alarms to remind you of important events, such as taking medication. Access via the main menu.
• FM Radio: Enjoy FM radio broadcasts. Connect headphones (not included) to use as an antenna.
• Bluetooth: Connect to other Bluetooth devices like headsets or car kits. Enable Bluetooth in Settings > Connectivity.
• Calendar & Calculator: Basic utility functions are available in the main menu.
• Expandable Memory: Supports up to 32GB microSD card for storing photos, music, and other files.

7. Maintenance

• Keep the phone dry. Moisture can damage electronic circuits.
• Avoid extreme temperatures. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices and warp or melt certain plastics.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the phone. Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
• Handle the phone gently. Do not drop, knock, or shake it. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and fine mechanics.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the phone. Unauthorized disassembly voids the warranty.

If you encounter issues with your phone, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Phone does not power on:
  • Ensure the battery is correctly installed and charged.
  • Try charging the phone for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on again.
• Cannot make or receive calls:
  • Check if the SIM card is properly inserted and activated.
  • Ensure you have network coverage.
  • Verify that the phone is not in Airplane Mode.
• Poor call volume:
  • Adjust the call volume using the side buttons during a call.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions covering the speaker.
