Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the kettle and power base with a damp cloth. Hand wash the stainless-steel infuser and spout filter with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable surface near a power outlet. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in a position where it can be tripped over.
4. First Use Cycle: Fill the kettle with water to the "MAX WATER" line (60 oz). Do not add any infuser or tea. Place the kettle securely on the power base. Select the "Boil" setting and allow the water to come to a full boil. Discard this water. Repeat this process 1-2 times to ensure the kettle is clean and ready for use.

Operating Instructions

1. Filling the Kettle: Open the lid by pressing the button on top. Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water to the desired level, observing the "Cups" and "Oz" markings. Do not exceed the "MAX WATER" line (60 oz) or fill below the "MIN" line (16 oz).
2. Using the Infuser: If brewing loose leaf tea or infusing water, place your desired tea leaves, fruit, or spices into the stainless-steel infuser. Securely place the infuser into the kettle.
3. Placing on Power Base: Close the lid firmly. Place the kettle onto the power base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
4. Selecting Temperature: The digital display on the handle allows you to select specific temperature settings. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to cycle through the preset options:
   • Boil: 212°F (for black tea, herbal tea, or general boiling)
   • Herbal: 212°F
   • Black: 212°F
   • Oolong: 195°F
   • White: 185°F
   • Green: 175°F
   • Delicate: 160°F
   The kettle also features a "Keep Warm" function, which maintains the selected temperature for a period after heating.
5. Starting the Heating Process: Once your desired temperature setting is selected, press the "Start/Stop" button. The kettle's internal lights will illuminate red, indicating that heating is in progress. The digital display will show the current water temperature as it rises.
6. Completion: When the water reaches the set temperature, the kettle will automatically switch off the heating element, and the internal lights will turn green. If the "Keep Warm" function is active, the green light will remain on to indicate the water is being held at temperature.
7. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the power base. The kettle can be safely placed on any surface without heating it up. Pour the hot water or brewed tea into your cup.

Maintenance and Cleaning

• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the power base or the kettle in water.
• Interior Cleaning: For general cleaning, rinse the inside of the kettle with water. For stubborn stains or mineral deposits (limescale), a mixture of water and white vinegar or a commercial descaling solution can be used. Follow the descaling product's instructions or boil a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar, let it sit for 20-30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly several times.
• Infuser and Filter: The stainless-steel infuser and spout filter should be hand washed with mild soap and water after each use to prevent residue buildup.
• Storage: Ensure the kettle is completely dry before storing. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
