4. Operation
4.1 Pipe Capacity
The RIDGID FlexShaft K9-204+ is designed for cleaning drain lines with diameters from 2 inches (50 mm) to 4 inches (100 mm).

4.2 Cleaning Procedure
- Insert Cable: Carefully feed the FlexShaft cable with the attached knocker into the drain opening.
- Activate Drill: Once the knocker is inside the pipe, start the cordless drill. Maintain a consistent drill speed between 1800-2500 RPM. The rotating cable will spin the chain knocker, clearing blockages and descaling pipe walls.
- Advance Cable: Slowly advance the cable further into the pipe, allowing the rotating knocker to work through obstructions. Do not force the cable.
- Wall-to-Wall Cleaning: The chain knocker expands to the full diameter of the pipe, ensuring thorough wall-to-wall cleaning. This action effectively removes scale and debris, restoring the pipe to full flow capacity.
- Retract Cable: Once cleaning is complete, reverse the drill direction (if applicable) or carefully retract the cable while the knocker is still spinning to help clean the cable as it exits the pipe.

4.3 Simultaneous Camera Use
The design of the FlexShaft K9-204+ allows for an inspection camera to remain in the pipe during the cleaning process. This feature enables real-time monitoring of the cleaning progress and pipe condition, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. (Inspection camera not included).
