2. Important Safety Information
Always observe safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the equipment. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Read the entire manual: Understand all operating procedures and safety warnings before use.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and protective clothing.
- Hot Surfaces: The burner and heating coil components become extremely hot during operation. Avoid contact.
- High Pressure Spray: The high-pressure spray can cause severe injury. Never direct the spray at people, animals, or electrical equipment.
- Flammable Materials: Do not operate near flammable liquids, gases, or combustible materials. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the 120V power supply is properly grounded and rated for the unit's electrical requirements. Do not operate with damaged cords.
- Fuel Safety: Use gasoline in a well-ventilated area. Do not refuel while the engine is running or hot.
- Chemicals: Use only pressure washer safe detergents. Follow manufacturer's instructions for chemical handling and disposal.

3. Setup and Initial Assembly
Before operating your pressure washer, ensure all components are correctly assembled and connected.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the pressure washer from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Wheel Installation: If not pre-installed, attach the 13-inch pneumatic wheels to the 3/4" threaded axles using the provided lock nuts.
- Engine Oil: Check the engine oil level. Fill with recommended oil type (refer to Kohler engine manual) to the appropriate level if necessary. The unit ships without oil in the engine.
- Fuel Tank: Fill the 10-gallon poly fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not overfill.
- Burner Fuel: Ensure the burner fuel tank (if separate, or shared with engine fuel) is filled with diesel or kerosene as specified for the oil-fired burner.
- Water Supply Connection: Connect a garden hose (minimum 5/8" diameter) from a reliable water source to the pressure washer's water inlet. Ensure the water supply is clean and free of debris.
- High-Pressure Hose: Connect the 50-foot high-pressure hose to the pump outlet and the spray gun. Ensure connections are secure.
- Nozzle Selection: Select the appropriate quick-connect nozzle (0°, 15°, 25°, 40°, or soap nozzle) and attach it to the wand assembly.
- Electrical Connection: Plug the 120V power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Pressure Washer
- Open Water Supply: Turn on the water supply completely to the pressure washer.
- Purge Air: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the pump and hose until a steady stream of water flows out.
- Engine Start:
- Ensure the engine switch is in the "ON" position.
- Set the choke (if cold start) and throttle to the appropriate positions.
- Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts. For electric start models, turn the key.
- Once started, gradually move the choke to the "OFF" position.
- Burner Activation (for Hot Water):
- Ensure the 120V power cord is connected.
- Turn the burner "ON" switch.
- Set the adjustable thermostat to the desired water temperature. The burner will ignite to heat the water.
4.2 Using the Pressure Washer
- Maintain Distance: Always keep a safe distance from the surface being cleaned to avoid damage. Test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Nozzle Selection: Use the appropriate nozzle for the task.
- Red (0°): Intense, pinpoint stream for tough spots. Use with extreme caution.
- Yellow (15°): Powerful, narrow spray for concentrated cleaning.
- Green (25°): General purpose spray for most cleaning tasks.
- White (40°): Wide, gentle spray for delicate surfaces.
- Black (Soap): Low-pressure spray for applying detergents.
- Detergent Application: For chemical injection, ensure the black soap nozzle is installed. Place the chemical injection hose into your detergent solution. The downstream chemical injection system will draw detergent at low pressure.
- Hot Water Cleaning: The hot water function is ideal for removing grease, oil, and stubborn grime. Allow the water to heat up before beginning.

- Turn Off Engine: Move the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn Off Water Supply: Close the water faucet.
- Relieve Pressure: Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
- Disconnect: Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose. Drain any remaining water from the pump and hoses, especially before storage in freezing temperatures.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer. Always disconnect the spark plug wire and relieve pressure before performing any maintenance.
- Engine Oil: Check engine oil before each use. Change oil after the first 5 hours, then every 50 hours or annually. Refer to the Kohler engine manual for specific details.
- Pump Oil: Check pump oil level regularly. Change pump oil after the first 50 hours, then every 200 hours or annually. Use non-detergent pump oil.
- Air Filter: Clean or replace the engine air filter as needed, especially in dusty conditions.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug annually. Replace if worn.
- Fuel Filter: Inspect and replace the fuel filter as recommended by the engine manufacturer.
- Nozzle Cleaning: Clean clogged nozzles using the provided nozzle cleaning tool.
- Water Inlet Filter: Regularly check and clean the water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering the pump.
- Burner Maintenance: Periodically inspect the burner nozzle and electrodes for carbon buildup. Consult a qualified technician for complex burner maintenance.
- Winterization: Before storing in freezing temperatures, thoroughly drain all water from the pump, hoses, and heating coil. Use a pump protector/antifreeze solution.
