1. Setup Guide
1.1 Pre-installation Checks
Before beginning installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications:
- Door Thickness: 1.5" – 1.89" (38-48mm)
- Backset: 2.3" / 2.76" (60/70mm)
- Cross Bore Diameter: 2.13" (54mm)
- Distance between two doorholes: 3.15"
You will need a screwdriver for installation. For safety, keep the door open during the installation process to avoid being locked out.

1.2 Physical Installation
Follow these steps to physically install your HEANTLE WiFi Smart Lock. For a visual guide, refer to the installation video below.
- Adjust the deadbolt length to 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" based on your door size. Ensure the word "UP" faces upwards.
- Secure the retracted deadbolt into the door with 2 screws.
- Place the spindle horizontally into the exterior keypad assembly.
- Keep the spindle horizontal and pass the cable under the deadbolt. Insert the exterior keypad assembly into the door.
- Pass the spindle through the central hole and the cable through the right bottom hole of the mounting plate. Secure the mounting plate with screws.
- Plug the cable from the exterior keypad into the port on the interior assembly.
- Install 4 AA batteries into the interior assembly and slide the battery cover on.
- Install the exterior handle onto the door, ensuring it operates smoothly.

1.3 App Setup & Gateway Connection
To enable remote control and smart features, connect your lock to the Smart Life app and pair the gateway.
- Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network (5G networks are not supported).
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
- Plug in the WiFi Gateway Hub. Press and hold the reset button on the back until the blue indicator remains solid and the red indicator flashes slowly.
- Open the Smart Life APP, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner, then tap "Add". The app will search for nearby devices.
- Choose your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter its password.
- Wait for the Gateway to complete the connection. Once connected, the Gateway will appear on the list of "All devices".
- Tap on the "Gateway" device, then tap "Add device" to pair your Smart Lock. The app will automatically search for your smart lock.
- Wait for the Gateway and lock pairing to complete. Your Smart Lock will then be on the list of online devices.

2. Operating Instructions
Your HEANTLE WiFi Smart Lock offers multiple convenient ways to secure and access your home.

2.1 Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint Recognition: Place your registered finger on the sensor for quick access. The lock features fast fingerprint recognition.
- Keypad Entry: Enter your personalized passcode on the keypad. The anti-peep passcode feature allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing it.
- App Remote Control: Use the Smart Life app to unlock your door from anywhere. This is ideal for granting access to family or guests remotely.
- Physical Key: In case of power failure or other issues, a traditional physical key is provided as a backup.

2.2 Locking Methods
- Adjustable Auto-Lock: The lock can be set to automatically lock after a delay ranging from 5 to 900 seconds. This feature provides peace of mind, ensuring your door is always secured.
- One-Touch Locking: To lock instantly, simply press the '#' key on the keypad.

2.3 User Management
Through the Smart Life app, you can manage access for various users:
- Create custom codes for family members, guests, or service providers.
- Set admin permissions for secure and flexible access control.
- Generate one-time codes for temporary access, which can be shared via SMS or other messaging apps.

2.4 Voice Control Integration
The HEANTLE Smart Lock is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for convenient voice-activated control.
- Pair your lock with your smart home assistant through the Smart Life app.
- Use voice commands such as "Alexa, unlock the front door" for hands-free operation.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Battery Replacement
The lock operates on 4 AA batteries. You will receive low battery alerts (below 20%) via the app, indicating it's time for replacement.
- To replace batteries, remove the battery cover on the interior assembly.
- Replace all four AA batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
- In case of complete battery depletion, the lock features an emergency USB-C charging port for temporary power access.
3.2 Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your smart lock, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
3.3 Environmental Considerations
The lock is designed to withstand various environmental conditions. However, direct and prolonged exposure to extreme weather, especially water, should be minimized to prevent potential damage to internal components.

4. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your HEANTLE WiFi Smart Lock, refer to the common problems and solutions below. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
- Fingerprint Reader Inaccuracy: The fingerprint reader is generally accurate. If it fails on the first attempt, try again. A second attempt usually resolves the issue. Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
- App Delays or Unresponsiveness: The app may occasionally experience delays or temporary unresponsiveness. Ensure your phone has a stable internet connection and Bluetooth is enabled. Restarting the app or your phone can often resolve this.
- Gateway Loses WiFi Connection: If your WiFi Gateway Hub loses its connection, power cycle it by unplugging and re-plugging it. This typically restores the connection.
- Lock Malfunction or Corrosion: While the lock is designed for durability, prolonged exposure to direct water (e.g., heavy rain without cover) can lead to internal corrosion and malfunction over time. Ensure the lock is adequately protected from direct weather elements.
- Deadbolt Not Operating Smoothly: Ensure the deadbolt operates freely in and out of the receiving pocket on the door jamb when operating manually. Minor adjustments to the strike plate area of the jamb may be required.
- Wrong Entry Alert: The lock will alert you to wrong entry attempts, enhancing security.
