Periodically clean the camera lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or debris that may obstruct the view or affect performance. Do not use harsh chemicals.
Firmware Updates
Ensure your camera's firmware is up to date. The app will typically notify you of available updates. Follow the in-app instructions to perform firmware upgrades, which can improve performance and add new features.
Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's location. Restart your router and the camera.
- Poor Video Quality: Check your Wi-Fi connection speed. Clean the camera lens. Ensure there are no obstructions.
- Motion Detection Issues: Adjust sensitivity settings in the app. Ensure detection zones are correctly configured. Avoid placing the camera where frequent, non-threatening motion (e.g., tree branches) might trigger false alerts.
- Short Battery Life: Frequent motion detection, live view access, and spotlight/siren activation consume more battery. Consider reducing sensitivity or using an optional solar panel for continuous charging.
- App Notifications Not Received: Check your phone's notification settings for the app. Ensure the app has necessary permissions. Verify motion detection settings are active.
