5. Setup

5.1. Initial Charge

Your AccuPOINT Pinpointer comes with a pre-installed Lithium Polymer battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the device before its first use. Connect the supplied USB Type-C Charging Cable to the charging port located under the back cover and plug it into a compatible USB power source.

5.2. Attaching the Lanyard

Attach the coiled lanyard to the designated attachment point on the pinpointer. Secure the other end of the lanyard to your belt or digging pouch to prevent accidental loss during use.

5.3. Installing the Tip Protector

The pinpointer includes a replaceable tip protector. Slide the tip protector onto the 360° Detection Tip to shield it from wear and tear, especially when probing in abrasive ground conditions.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the On/Off & Settings Button until the Color LCD Screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the same button until the screen turns off.

6.2. Basic Detection

Once powered on, the AccuPOINT is ready for immediate use. Move the 360° Detection Tip over the area where a target is suspected. The device will provide audio and/or vibration alerts, with intensity increasing as you get closer to the target.

6.3. Adjusting Settings

Briefly press the On/Off & Settings Button to cycle through various settings on the Color LCD Screen. Use short presses to navigate options and long presses to confirm selections or enter sub-menus.

6.3.1. Discrimination Modes

Select between 1-Tone, 2-Tone, or Iron-Off discrimination modes to filter out unwanted targets. The Iron-Off mode is particularly useful for ignoring ferrous junk.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning
