1. Introduction

The Zhiyun FIVERAY M20 Combo is a compact and powerful bi-color LED video light designed for on-camera use and various creative lighting scenarios. 2.1 Components and Controls

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

Before initial use, fully charge the FIVERAY M20 Combo using a USB-C cable. The device supports fast charging, allowing it to be used while charging.

3.2 Attaching Accessories

The FIVERAY M20 Combo utilizes a magnetic system for attaching various light modifiers. The combo package typically includes an extension bracket, diffuser, honeycomb grid, and 4-leaf barn doors.

• Extension Bracket: Attach the light to the extension bracket first.
• Diffuser: Magnetically attach the diffuser to soften the light output.
• Honeycomb Grid: Use the honeycomb grid to narrow the beam angle and control light spill.
• 4-Leaf Barn Doors: Attach the barn doors to shape the light beam and prevent light from spilling onto unwanted areas.

3.3 Mounting the Light

The FIVERAY M20 Combo can be mounted using its cold shoe mount or the extension bracket. Its magnetic design also allows it to be attached to metallic surfaces.

4. Operation

4.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (marked with 'ⓘM') to turn the light on or off.

4.2 Brightness Adjustment

Rotate the designated dial to adjust the brightness level from 0% to 100%. The current brightness percentage will be displayed on the screen.

4.3 Color Temperature Adjustment (CCT Mode)

In CCT mode, rotate the color temperature dial to select a color temperature between 2700K (warm light) and 6500K (cool light).

4.4 Green-Magenta Control

The FIVERAY M20 Combo includes Green-Magenta control to fine-tune the color output, allowing for precise color matching and creative effects. Refer to the on-screen interface for adjustment options.

4.5 Special Lighting Effects

The device offers 10 creative lighting effects. Cycle through these effects using the mode button and adjust parameters like speed and temperature with the dials.

4.6 Memory Function

The FIVERAY M20 Combo features a memory function that allows you to quickly recall your preferred lighting settings.

5. Battery and Charging

The FIVERAY M20 Combo is equipped with an internal battery. Battery runtime varies based on the power output setting:

• 20W Output: Approximately 40 minutes (at 4300K)
• 10W Output: Approximately 1 hour 20 minutes (at 4300K)
• 5W Output: Approximately 3 hours (at 4300K)

These figures are based on internal laboratory tests with the light fully charged. For extended use, especially at higher power settings, it is recommended to connect the light to an external power bank via its USB-C port.

6. Cooling System

The FIVERAY M20 Combo integrates the exclusive DynaVort Cooling System MARK II. This system is designed to optimize airflow and reduce drag, effectively managing heat dissipation even during high-power operation. This ensures stable performance and extends the lifespan of the LED components.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the light's surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the light in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid completely discharging the battery frequently. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50-60%.

8. Troubleshooting

• Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source via USB-C and try again.
• Overheating/Automatic Shutdown: The light may reduce intensity or shut down if it detects excessive heat. This is a protective measure. Allow the unit to cool down. For prolonged high-power use, consider using it in a well-ventilated area or reducing the intensity.
• Short Battery Life: Battery performance can be affected by high power settings and environmental temperature. Ensure the light is fully charged before use. For longer sessions, use an external power bank.
• Inconsistent Brightness/Color: Check for any obstructions on the LED panel or ensure accessories are properly attached. If issues persist, perform a factory reset if available (refer to the device's on-screen menu for this option).
