Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the tapping machine and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components listed in the "Package Contents" are present.
- Air Supply Connection: Connect the air inlet of the tapping machine to a compressed air source. Ensure the air pressure is within the recommended range of 5-8 kg. A suitable air compressor is required for operation.
- Chuck Installation: Install the appropriate chuck onto the tapping machine. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Tap Installation: Insert the desired tap into the chuck. Tighten the chuck to firmly hold the tap.
- Initial Air Purge: Before first use, connect the air supply and briefly operate the machine without a tap or workpiece to purge any moisture or debris from the air lines.

Operating Instructions
- Prepare Workpiece: Securely clamp the workpiece to prevent movement during tapping. Ensure the hole to be tapped is pre-drilled to the correct size for the tap.
- Select Tap: Choose the correct tap size for your application, ensuring it is within the machine's tapping range for the material.
- Adjust Speed: If applicable, adjust the machine's speed according to the material and tap size.
- Initiate Tapping: Position the tap over the pre-drilled hole. Press the forward switch to start the tapping process. Apply gentle, consistent pressure.
- Monitor Progress: Allow the machine to guide the tap into the material. Do not force the tap.
- Reverse Tap: Once the desired depth is reached, or if the tap binds, release the forward switch and press the backward switch to reverse the tap out of the hole.
- Complete Operation: Once the tap is fully retracted, release the backward switch.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your tapping machine.
- Air Line Lubrication: Ensure your air supply system includes an inline oiler to provide continuous lubrication to the pneumatic motor. Use pneumatic tool oil.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the machine to remove any metal chips, dust, or debris. Use compressed air to blow out internal components if necessary.
- Chuck Inspection: Regularly inspect the chuck for wear or damage. Replace if necessary to ensure proper tap gripping.
- Storage: Store the machine in a clean, dry environment when not in use.
- Professional Service: For complex repairs or internal component issues, seek professional service.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine does not operate or operates weakly. | Low air pressure; Air hose kinked or blocked; Air inlet filter clogged; Internal mechanism issues. | Check air compressor pressure (must be 5-8kg); Inspect air hose for obstructions; Clean or replace air inlet filter; Contact service if internal issue suspected. |
| Tap binds or breaks frequently. | Incorrect tap size for material; Insufficient lubrication; Workpiece not secure; Excessive force applied; Dull or damaged tap. | Verify tap size and material compatibility; Ensure air line oiler is functioning; Secure workpiece firmly; Apply gentle, consistent pressure; Replace tap if dull or damaged. |
| Machine overheats. | Continuous operation without breaks; Insufficient lubrication; Overloading. | Allow machine to cool down between prolonged uses; Check air line lubrication; Ensure not exceeding tapping capacity. |
| Excessive air leakage. | Loose fittings; Damaged seals or O-rings. | Tighten all air fittings; Inspect and replace damaged seals or O-rings. |
