The Minoston MP31Z acts as a Z-Wave signal repeater. This means it receives Z-Wave commands and re-transmits them to other Z-Wave devices, extending the overall range and reliability of your Z-Wave mesh network. For optimal network performance, strategically place repeaters throughout your home.
8.2 Z-Wave Long Range (LR)
Equipped with the 800 series chip, this plug supports Z-Wave Long Range (LR) technology. When paired with a Z-Wave LR compatible hub, it can achieve significantly extended wireless communication distances, up to 1300 feet, reducing the need for multiple repeaters in large areas.
8.3 S2 Authenticated Security
The MP31Z incorporates S2 security, providing advanced encryption for communication between the device and your Z-Wave hub. This enhances protection against unauthorized access and tampering, contributing to a more secure smart home environment.
