6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Moosum Electric Rice Cooker, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Rice is too hard/undercooked:
    • Ensure correct rice-to-water ratio. Add slightly more water next time.
    • Make sure the lid is securely closed during cooking.
    • Do not open the lid during cooking, as this releases steam and heat.
  • Rice is too soft/mushy:
    • Ensure correct rice-to-water ratio. Reduce water slightly next time.
    • Some rice types require less water. Adjust accordingly.
  • Cooker does not turn on:
    • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the cooker and the wall outlet.
    • Verify that the outlet is functioning by plugging in another appliance.
  • Rice sticks to the bottom:
    • Ensure the inner pot's ceramic nonstick coating is not damaged.
    • Add a small amount of cooking oil to the rice before cooking.
    • Do not leave rice on 'Keep Warm' for excessively long periods.
  • Steam leaks from the lid:
    • Ensure the lid is properly seated and closed.
    • Check if the inner lid or gasket is clean and correctly installed.
