4.2 Audio Output Modes

The car stereo offers three methods for audio output:

  • Built-in Speaker: The device has an integrated speaker for direct audio output. To enable/disable, go to Setup and find "Built-in Speaker".
  • AUX Connection: Use the provided AUX cable to connect the car stereo to your vehicle's auxiliary audio input. Switch your original car radio to "AUX" mode for sound output through car speakers.
  • FM Transmit: Adjust the FM frequency band on the portable car stereo and your original car radio to the same frequency (e.g., 87.5-108 MHz). This transfers the audio to your car's sound system. Avoid frequencies occupied by local FM stations.

4.3 DVR Loop Recording & Rear-View Camera

The device supports seamless loop recording via the dash cam and provides a live rear-view display when reversing.

  • Loop Recording: The dash cam records continuously, overwriting the oldest footage when the memory card is full. Ensure a TF card is inserted for recording.
  • Rear-View Display: When the vehicle is put into reverse, the screen automatically switches to the backup camera view, aiding in safe parking.

4.4 Phone MirrorLink

MirrorLink allows you to stream content from your smartphone to the car stereo screen via USB connection. This enables viewing maps, movies, and other content directly on the larger display. Android phones support two-way touch operation, while Apple phones support operation only from the phone.

4.5 Voice Control

When using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can activate Siri or Google Assistant for hands-free control of calls, music playback, messages, and navigation.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your car stereo:

  • Clean the screen regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Keep the device away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Ensure all cable connections are secure.
  • Periodically check for firmware updates if available from the manufacturer.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Cannot connect to Bluetooth: Delete Bluetooth records on both your mobile phone and the portable carplay screen, then re-pair the connection.
  • Music playing but no sound: Check if FM transmit is active. If so, turn off FM transmit on your car stereo. Ensure the correct audio output mode (Built-in Speaker, AUX, or FM) is selected.
  • Car Stereo's time is wrong: The time module stops when powered off. Once connected to your phone via CarPlay/Android Auto, the time will synchronize automatically.
  • Car does not automatically switch to reverse mode: Ensure the backup camera is connected correctly according to the wiring diagram (refer to Section 3.2). Verify all wires are securely connected.
