  • Return the carafe to the warming plate within 20 seconds to prevent overflow from the filter basket. Brewing will resume automatically.

After brewing, the warming plate will keep the coffee hot for up to 4 hours. The coffee maker will automatically shut off after this period for safety.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
  • Wash the carafe, carafe lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water after each use. These parts are generally top-rack dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
  • Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Do not immerse the coffee maker base in water or any other liquid.

4.2 Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)

Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance. Descale every 2-3 months, or more frequently in hard water areas.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water.
  2. Place an empty paper filter in the filter basket and close the lid.
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Run a full brew cycle.
  5. After the cycle, let the coffee maker sit for 15-20 minutes with the vinegar solution inside.
