1. Overview

The Sharper Image X-Treme Jet X-2 is a high-performance remote control drone designed for both beginners and experienced pilots. It features advanced flight technology including automatic hover, auto orientation, gyro stabilization, and assisted landing, making it easy to control. The drone is capable of performing impressive 360-degree stunts and barrel rolls, and its bright LED underglow allows for exciting night flights. Its durable and lightweight design ensures resilience during action-packed flights.

2. Package Contents

Ensure all items listed below are present in your package:

• 1 x X-Treme Jet X-2 Drone
• 1 x Remote Control
• 1 x USB-C Charging Cable
• 4 x Replacement Propellers

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Drone Battery

The X-Treme Jet X-2 Drone is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the drone.

1. Connect the small end of the USB-C charging cable to the drone's charging port.
2. Connect the larger end of the USB-C charging cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator light on the drone will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
4. A full charge takes approximately 70 minutes. Do not overcharge.

3.2 Remote Control Battery Installation

The remote control requires 4 x AA 1.5V batteries (not included).

1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment securely.

3.3 Pairing the Drone and Remote Control

Follow these steps to pair your drone with the remote control:

1. Ensure both the drone and remote control are powered off.
2. Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
3. Turn on the drone. The LED lights on the drone will flash.
4. Turn on the remote control.
5. Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The drone's LED lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.

Note: If the drone experiences a hard landing and shows instability or a non-functioning propeller/motor, power off both the drone and remote, then follow this re-pairing process to recalibrate.

4. Operating the Drone

4.1 Basic Flight Controls

Familiarize yourself with the remote control layout and functions:

• Left Joystick (Throttle): Push up to ascend, pull down to descend.
• Right Joystick (Directional): Push forward to fly forward, pull back to fly backward, push left to fly left, push right to fly right.
• Trim Buttons: Use these to fine-tune the drone's stability if it drifts in any direction.

4.2 Advanced Flight Features

The X-Treme Jet X-2 drone incorporates several advanced features for enhanced flight experience:

• Automatic Hover: The drone maintains its altitude automatically, allowing for easier control.
• Auto Orientation: Simplifies flight by maintaining the drone's orientation relative to the pilot, regardless of the drone's actual heading.
• Gyro Stabilization: Provides stable flight and smooth maneuvers by continuously adjusting the drone's balance.
• Assisted Landing: Aids in smooth and controlled descents for easier landings.
• 360-Degree Stunts & Barrel Rolls: Engage the stunt button on the remote control and push the right joystick in any direction to perform impressive aerial acrobatics.
• Bright LED Underglow: The drone features bright LED lights on its underside, enhancing visibility and adding excitement to flights, especially in low-light conditions.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote control. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Propeller Replacement: If a propeller is damaged, carefully remove it and replace it with one of the included spare propellers. Ensure the new propeller is securely attached.
• Storage: When not in use, store the drone and remote control in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries from the remote control if storing for extended periods.
